In 1996, the Ferrari team completely renewed the lineup, and Irvine is lucky: he gets into the new line-up of this legendary racing team. His partner is the famous racer Michael Schumacher. In 2001, at the Grand Prix race, which took place in Belgium, Eddie unexpectedly encountered Luciano Burti, who was once his partner. The opponent was seriously injured and immediately lost consciousness. Eddie himself led his rescue and even dismantled the rubble. This helped to save Burti's life.
