Dmitry Lesnoy is a professional in poker and many other intellectual and gambling games. This person is the creator of the computer program "Marjage", the former head of the Russian Federation of Sports Poker, the author of many books on gambling. Passion for the game

Dmitry Lesnoy was born in Tashkent in 1956. From the earliest childhood the boy fell in love with cards. He could spend hours watching how his father and friends play preference. But more seriously Dmitri took a great interest in this occupation when he was a student at the Moscow State University (Journalism Faculty). Seminars and lectures a young man preferred preference.

During his studies, Lesnoy participated in various interuniversity tournaments. There Dmitry met with the best preference. He also played in the billiard academy. The worldview of the future writer changed in 1984. He decided to become an example for his son and "tied up" with gambling.

Writing career

After parting with his passion, Dmitry Lesnoy completely switched to another sphere. He began to write actively. For some time the former player worked for Rolan Bykov press attaché. And after legalization in the country of gambling Lesnoy wrote the encyclopedia "Gambling House", the monograph "Russian Preference" and several books from the series "Mathematics of casino games". The last included more than ten editions. Among them: "Roulette", "Poker", "Blackjack" and others. But Dmitry did not limit himself to books alone. He wrote the program "Mariage", which allowed to play preference with a computer. This brought him even greater popularity. And Lesnoy was engaged in organizing tournaments on preference and poker at the casino "Cosmos".

Since 2001, the hero of this narrative has become the publisher of several Russian magazines about poker: Poker Games, Poker in Russia and Casino Games. In them Dmitry acquainted the reader with professional players and shared his knowledge.

Thanks to many years of experience and merits Lesnoy received the post of President of the Federation of Poker. All his activities were aimed at making this game a sport. This goal was achieved only after six months of active work. From 2007 to 2009, poker was the official sport in Russia. In 2008, there was another important event: Russia became the founder of the International Poker Federation, which unites 55 countries. Until then, Dmitry was a member of the IFP board.
