The cyst is a cavity bounded by a connecting capsule filled with non-inflammatory fluid of oval, round or irregular shape. The size can vary within a few millimeters, and can reach up to 6 cm. Breast cysts are a symptom of cystic fibrosis mastopathy (diffuse or nodular).
