Crocuses are flowers that blossom very early and do so very briefly. The flowering period lasts from seven to ten days, after which the crocuses quickly fade. The soil

Fertilizers

If the soil was well fertilized during the planting, then in the first year it is possible to refuse the addition of additional nutrients. The first is needed for the appearance of healthy and large bulbs, and the second - for the extension of flowering and the formation of buds. The very first fertilizer should contain twice less phosphorus than potassium, all other times their number should be proportional to each other.

The process of planting crocuses is very similar to the process of planting tulips. The largest bulbs are placed at a depth of up to twelve centimeters, and chalks - up to five. The distance between them is not recommended to do less than five centimeters, but if the grower plans to transplant the plant annually, then three will be enough.

After the end of flowering, it is necessary to decide whether the transplantation process will be performed or not. If not, simply remove old fading leaves and cover for a winter with a layer of mulch. If it was decided to dig a plant, then the best time for it is mid-July.
