Crayfish breeding at home as a great idea for business

Despite the fact that crayfish are loved by very many, breeding crayfish at home is a fairly rare hobby, and completely in vain. Let's not say that crayfish are beautiful and faithful friends or are an amazing decoration of the interior - of course, this is not so, and their main advantage is that they are very tasty and, in addition, useful, and their breeding does not require significant effort. Of course, sometimes crayfish is kept in an ordinary aquarium in order to clean it, or representatives of rare species for the soul, but if it is a matter of breeding crayfish, then most likely it is for a very definite purpose.

Breeding crayfish at home is not a troublesome business, since crayfish are very unpretentious animals, and there are not so many subtleties for caring for them. First, you need a large aquarium, the water temperature in which should be at the level of 20-25 degrees, preferably about 22. It should be noted that the water must be hard enough for the crayfish to change the shell in time, and it needs calcium. For this purpose, you can use calcium rocks for aquarium soil, for example, limestone or marble chips, or add a small amount of calcium chloride to the water , the solution of which can be bought at any pharmacy. If these conditions are met, the crayfish do not fall into hibernation and somewhere in the course of a year they molt three times, after which they become fit for consumption and for sale.

To breed crayfish in an aquarium brought a quick result, the aquarium needs to be equipped in a certain way. Naturally, you need to arrange heating and lighting so that the conditions are as close to natural summer as possible, and also equip the aquarium with water filters , a pump and a compressor. The aquarium soil should be suitable for the crayfish to be able to build burrows in it for breeding, and it is also important to have plants, preferably for fresh water in the middle belt. Especially like crayfish clay soil, as the holes in it are the best.

The aquarium itself should not be so deep, as wide as the crayfish live on the bottom. If you are going to breed crayfish for commercial purposes, it might make sense to take this to a separate room, since breeding crayfish at home becomes cost-effective when their number ranges from a hundred. For a year each individual brings offspring average of about 30 pieces, so the aquarium area should be large, or there should be several.

With the nutrition of cancers, no problems should arise. Despite the fact that they prefer meat, in fact, they can eat everything, including bread and cereals, and it is enough to feed them every few days, however, pampering with protein foods though occasionally they will not hurt - it promotes active growth. It is useful to feed crayfish with insects, even the same bloodworm, and special forages. If you do not do this - the crawfish may well begin to eat each other, and at other times the food can be absolutely any. This unpretentiousness combined with high cost makes crayfish breeding at home very attractive from a commercial point of view.

Under the breeding of crayfish at home, you can use two types - river and lake crayfish. If the river are very easy to care for, the lake ones are much larger than their size and grow rapidly. It is lake lobsters that are most popular for commercial breeding. For sale should be selected crayfish approximately the same size, having a marketable appearance. Defective individuals should be left for their own use. The best way to implement cancers is an arrangement with a beer restaurant - usually there are always happy to be able to constantly supply fresh classical beer snacks and therefore are ready to offer good prices.
