The ant is an amazing creature that lives in all parts of the Earth, except for Antarctica. According to scientists, this is one of the most ancient insects on our planet. Ant communities are like the human way of organizing life, ants are close to humans and are able to breed "domestic animals" - they grow and graze on the leaves of plants aphids to feed on its sweet "milk." And yet this is a very strong insect, able to lift and hold the load tens of times its own weight. With ants we meet not only in nature: they are favorite heroes of children's fairy tales and cartoons. And everywhere these tiny representatives of the squad The Hymenoptera are represented by great laborers. But how to draw an ant? This is not difficult at all.

We make the first sketch

Consider how to draw an ant pencil, gradually refining the original outline. Creating an image, it's nice to have "nature" in front of your eyes. It may be, for example, a photo of an insect. Before we draw an ant, we will carefully consider it. The taurus of this creation consists of five oblong segments, which we will need to depict. We draw a light diagonal with a pencil, on it, as on the axis, we will "string" the main segments. The first oval figure will be large enough, the front end of the oval will be slightly sharpened - this is the future head of the ant. The next wrong oval is the back of the insect. It will be a little smaller. Behind the back we will draw an even smaller oval, and behind it - even smaller. The last oval corresponding to the rear of the ant will be the largest, it should be about three times the volume of the head. We need to think over the size of the picture long before drawing an ant so that there are no problems with placing the largest parts of his body on the sheet. Under the second oval, in the center, we will place a small circle - the legs of the insect will grow from it. Two similar circles are marked under the third oval.

Clarify the outline

Let's complete the sketch with the lines of the legs. First, small circles under the ant's body stretch into small vertical ovals and draw long curved segments of the legs to them. In the upper part they will be thicker, then, gradually narrowing, they become quite thin. Three limbs will decorate the insect's trunk in front, but we will not forget that on the other side, too, there are legs. One is placed on the right, parallel to the front limb, and one more visible leg is complemented by a pair of hind limbs, having painted it on the other side of the calf.

Detailing the drawing

In the next step, we will give clarity to our drawing. Superfluous lines erase the eraser, on the rear segment of the body of the insect we draw transverse dashes, we represent the points of the eye at the sides of the head. The next steps, showing how to draw an ant are extremely realistic, are the detailed sketch. We'll work on the muzzle of an insect. We make the eyes convex, for this we leave a bright flare, densely shading the entire surface of the pupil with a pencil. The ant's mouth resembles ticks, we draw the corresponding lines. The whiskers are like long antennas, draw them with two broken lines. The oval following the head of the insect will be divided by a transverse dash in the center into two parts.

The last step in the work

The last stage of the picture is the image of light and shadow. To do this, you need to see or imagine where the light falls from the insect. Less lighted areas are densely shaded, transitions to bright places will be made semi-dark, and the light parts will not be shaded.
