Connection to feasts: problems and solutions

Peers are called client machines involved in the process of downloading and distributing files when downloading from torrent trackers. Connection to peers is a method of connecting as if to a mirror server, which at the moment is a user terminal on which some information is located. But sometimes the number of distributing machines can decrease (for example, when the user uploads data and stops the distribution). In this case, you can wait long enough. Connection to feasts may not be possible for a number of reasons. They may simply be absent. But the settings of the parameters play an important role.

What is a feast?

But first let's look at the theoretical part. Using any torrent tracker and the corresponding download program (for example, BitTorrent or uTorrent) assumes the presence of so-called load mirrors, which can be found in normal applications, generally having the Downloader classification.

In other words, the user downloads information from one server directly, but uses several resources for this purpose with downloading parts of the source material. In the case when connecting to peers, the request is not made on the servers on the Internet, but on the local machines of users, on which the information is even partially downloaded. But often the problem can be in the settings.

Why is "There is no connection to the feasts"?

When this message appears, many users believe that it only indicates that there are no distributing machines in the network. This is not true.

First of all, you need to be clearly aware that torrent trackers are usually considered portals containing pirated content, and programs - by the corresponding software. Such applications can be blocked at the system or antivirus level. The same "Windows Defender" or a firewall can have automatic settings that do not allow you to download content from "questionable", in their opinion, sites.

No connection to the feasts: what to do?

The very first thing that should be done is just to restart the program or even the system. The second action is to restore to the rollback point, if everything worked before the problem occurred. The third step will be checking the number of peers on the tracker itself. The fourth step is to configure the network settings.

Finally, if this does not help, and the program still does not determine the connection to the feasts, it is very possible that the problem is precisely its settings. To begin with, you can try to "deceive" the provider by including in the settings the protocol encryption and in parallel deactivating the IP filter, which can significantly increase the number of potential addresses from which the distribution is made.

On the other hand, the problem may be that the receiving port is simply not configured. Therefore, instead of the standard port in the program, you must specify any other port, for example, specified in the default web browser settings. In the case of downloading via Media Get it works.

Connection to the feasts may also be absent due to the fact that the wrong network settings are set. However, as practice shows, the problem is in the means of security. Here you have to try to disable all Windows tools and antivirus. If the download is working, you will need to add the site address to the list of antivirus exceptions, and the torrent program to the list of firewall rules.

The result

In general, the problem is solved quite simply. However, when the user loads a dozen links at the same time, the boot priority may be violated. Here you will need to set the maximum speed only for the object that you want to download first, and the lowest priority for all others. In the presence of a low-power computer or a small connection speed, it is not recommended to set absolutely all downloads to the maximum.

And in passing, you need to look at the Internet protocol settings. As a rule, the provider provides automatic parameter setting. It is necessary to look, that reception of IP addresses or DNS has been established in an automatic mode. If the problem is still present, you should pay attention to the use of the proxy for local addresses (it must be disabled). Well, needless to say, you should thoroughly dig into the settings of the torrent applications themselves and pay attention to the link state in the tracker.
