Some time ago, during the car show in Paris, the Citroen GT car was introduced to the public. It is noteworthy that the novelty could not move in real life and was intended exclusively for the fifth part of Gran Turismo. It should be noted that sales of this game on the planet have already overcome the mark of 50 million copies. Moreover, this toy is considered to be the best and most realistic car simulator. In it, the Citroen GT Concept is driven by an electric power unit, so it does not pollute the environment.
At the exhibition the model made a real sensation. This made the designers think about starting the production of cars. It is impossible not to mention the fact that until this time exclusively sports models by the French company Citroen were not produced.
Incredible design is the first thing that strikes the Citroen GT. On the hood there are predatory aggressive air intakes, which make you think that under them there is a powerful engine that immediately overcomes not only kilometers, but also time. The car has almost five meters in length and a little more than two meters in width, which indicates a high level of comfort both on the highway and in urban driving conditions.
The windshield of the model goes to the roof very smoothly and does not have any broken lines. The muscular relief of the body is emphasized by smooth surfaces on the sides, as well as the paint and pearlescent coating. According to sources from Citroen, the French intend to use the brightest elements of the coupe and in its serial version.
The doors are opened forwards and upwards. The driver and his only passenger are comfortably placed in leather upholstered armchairs. It should be noted that both places are separated by a high tunnel, where there are numerous toggle switches. In the armrests of Citroen GT, the original orange backlight is used. For this reason, the atmosphere in the cabin becomes slightly aggressive and a bit glamorous. As for interior decoration, it uses genuine leather. To the pilot is not distracted from the racing process, just in front of him is a small screen that displays all the important traffic figures.
Not only the plague appearance stands out Citroen GT - the characteristics of the power equipment of the car, too, speak for themselves. Under the hood of the coupe is a V-shaped "eight" with a volume of 5.4 liters. Such a motor is able to develop as many as 646 horsepower and accelerate to hundreds of places in just 4 seconds. The concept weight is 1,400 kilograms, and the height is 1,09 meters. Excellent performance is also achieved thanks to the excellent aerodynamic characteristics of the machine. The rear and front lights are hidden behind the edges of the wheel arches, beneath which 21-inch disks are made of aluminum alloy. In the rear of the car there is a far-out spoiler, capable of adjusting.
According to preliminary calculations, if the car still will be released, then it will have to pay out a sum of 1.1 million pounds sterling (about 1.6 million US dollars). Without a doubt, it would be very desirable for many of us to see the serial version of Citroen GT in the near future. It is expected that during the exhibition in Frankfurt in the autumn of 2013 the product version of the car will be shown.
