Children of Pushkin. A brief biography of Mary, Alexander, Gregory and Natalia Pushkin

Although Alexander Sergeevich Pushkin and lived in marriage for only six years, but managed to leave behind the heirs. After the death of the great poet, his wife Natalya stayed with four young children in her arms: two sons and two daughters. After the death of her husband, the woman moved to her brother, but two years later she returned to the village of Mikhailovskoye.

The children of Pushkin were educated people. Daughters were educated at home, the sons of primary school mastered at home, and then entered the St. Petersburg gymnasium and graduated from the Corps of Pages in the military school. Many admirers of the poet's art are interested in the names of Pushkin's children. Daughters - Maria and Natalia, sons - Alexander and Gregory.

May 19, 1832, Maria Alexandrovna was born. Her amazing beauty inspired Leo Tolstoy so much that he copied from her the image of Anna Karenina. Many were admired by the aristocratic manners of Mary, the ability to have a casual conversation. Married a girl left at the age of 28 years. When she was 45, Maria's husband, General Hartung Leonid Nikolaevich, died. The woman did not have any children, she lived alone in Moscow. She died at the age of 87, on March 7, 1919.

The children of Pushkin did not follow in the footsteps of his father and did not engage in creative work. July 6, 1833, the oldest son Alexander was born. He devoted himself to a military career and rose to the rank of Lieutenant-General. For showing courage in the years of the Russo-Turkish war, he received a gold saber "For Bravery." Alexander Alexandrovich kept all the manuscripts and books of his father, took care of his things. He was married twice, from two marriages he had four sons and seven daughters. He died at the age of 81, July 19, 1914.

The children of Pushkin, although they preferred a military career, but respected the work of their father. Grigory Aleksandrovich, after graduating from military school, transferred to civil service in the rank of court counselor. It was he who was the owner of the Mikhailovsky estate. I got married at 50, but there were no children. To the centenary of the birth of his father Grigory Alexandrovich handed over his estate to the state, and he moved to live in his wife's house. Contemporaries remembered him as a kind, witty, cheerful and hospitable person, he was engaged in charity. Gregory Aleksandrovich died on August 15, 1905.

Pushkin's children looked more like a mother, only a younger daughter Natalia took on the features of her father. She was born on May 23, 1836, possessed strong-willed and strong character. She was a bright and independent girl, so she was not afraid to go against the will of her mother and at the age of 17 she married Colonel Dubelt. She gave birth to three children, but, not having endured the unbalanced nature and drunken debauchery of her husband, Natalya separated in eight years. The second time the woman married Prince Nicholas of Nassau, she was awarded the title of Countess Merenberg. In the second marriage, Natalia gave birth to four more children. She died at the age of 79, on March 10, 1913.

Very numerous offspring left after themselves the children of Pushkin. Photos of these people have survived to our time. All of them were noble, honest, kind and open people, honorably bearing the surname of their great father.
