In this article, we can cherry. Recipes are offered very different - with sugar, without it, a berry in its own juice, as well as compote.

Preservation of cherries

For eight servings you need 2 kilograms of cherries, 400 grams of sugar and 1 liter of water.

Conservation process:

  1. Sterilize the jars and caps.
  2. Wash the cherry and remove the bones from it.
  3. Pour all the sugar into a large saucepan and fill it with water.
  4. Put the pan on the fire and bring its contents to a boil.
  5. Make the fire average and continue to cook until the sugar completely dissolves.
  6. When the syrup turns into a saucepan, add the whole cherry and cook it for five minutes.
  7. The foam that appears as a result of cooking is removed.
  8. One fill the cans with cherries and syrup, leaving a couple of centimeters to the edge empty.
  9. If the edges are dirty, wipe them with a clean cloth or paper towel.
  10. Cover the jars with covers, but not tightly.
  11. Strain the jar of cherries for fifteen minutes.
  12. Close the covers firmly.
  13. Cool the jars.

Cherry in own juice

Such jam is done without using water, so you need to take only three kilograms of cherries and 400 grams of granulated sugar.

Operating procedure:

  1. Prepare the cans and lids for conservation.
  2. Wash cherries, get rid of spoiled berries.
  3. If desired, squeeze out the bones.
  4. Fill each jar with berries almost to the top.
  5. Sprinkle sugar on top of berries. Four tablespoons are served in one portion.
  6. Let the banks just stay there for fifteen minutes. During this time, the cherry itself will settle down a little.
  7. When the berries are buried, put a few more cherries on top to make the pot full.
  8. Take a wide pan and cover the bottom with a towel.
  9. Fill the pot with cans of cherry, pre-closing them with lids.
  10. Pour cold water into the pan.
  11. Bring the water to a boil and sterilize the jars for fifteen to twenty minutes.
  12. Take out the jars and roll them with covers.
  13. Select a nook for the jars, place a towel there, put overturned containers on it. Cover them with a blanket or a large towel.
  14. Allow the banks to cool.

The canned cherry in its own juice is ready!

Cherries without sugar

Prepared in this way, the berries taste will be sour and will be useful not only for creating desserts, but also as the main ingredient for cooking compote.

We make cherries canned without sugar:

  1. Wash the berries and remove the bones from them.
  2. Prepare the cans for conservation.
  3. Fill the jar with berries, while cherries need to be densely packed.
  4. Cover the containers with covers.
  5. Take a large pot and cover the bottom with a towel.
  6. Place the jars in a saucepan and pour cold water into it.
  7. Bring the water to a boil and sterilize the jars for twenty-five minutes.
  8. Remove the jars and roll them with covers.
  9. Cool the preservation.

Cherry without sugar is ready! Keep this produt in a cool place.

Preserving a cherry in the oven

For ten small jars you need to take:

  • 3 kilograms of cherries;
  • 2 lemons for juice;
  • 4 tablespoons of sugar for each jar (only 40 spoonfuls).

Instruction on conservation:

  1. Prepare cans and lids for conservation.
  2. Wash the cherries in cold water.
  3. Remove the bones, if you want, but this is not necessary.
  4. Fill each jar with half cherries.
  5. Sprinkle sugar on top.
  6. Fill the jar with water, but not to the brim.
  7. Squeeze a little lemon juice.
  8. Place the cans, covered with lids, on a baking sheet, and put it in a preheated oven to 180 degrees.
  9. Fill the baking tray with hot water.
  10. Leave the cans in the oven for one hour.
  11. When the water in the container boils, reduce the temperature to 150 degrees.
  12. Let the cans stand in the oven for another half an hour.
  13. Remove the jars and put them to cool.

Canned cherry juice

Such a drink will enjoy success throughout the winter, when you so want something delicious and fragrant.

We make canned compote of cherries:

  1. Rinse the cherries and go through it (get rid of small berries, for compote such do not fit).
  2. Fill the cherries with cold water and let them stay for one and a half to two hours.
  3. Prepare the sugar syrup. To do this, dissolve the sugar in water and bring it to the boil (one kilogram of cherries takes a half kilogram of sugar and 400 grams of water).
  4. Densely put the cherries in the jar, filling it with 1/3.
  5. Pour the sugar syrup to the cherries into the jar.
  6. Cover the jars with covers.
  7. Sterilize the jars. For each volume - its sterilization time: for a half-liter - 15 minutes, for a liter - 20 minutes, for a three-liter - 40-45 minutes.
  8. Cool the jars with compote.

This jam is actually not just a snack with tea in the winter evenings. There is a large number of desserts, which include cherry canned.

Recipes of possible dishes:

  1. Slice-envelopes. Make or buy a ready-made puff pastry. Open the cherries and preserve them from the syrup. Roll out the dough sheets and cut it into small pieces. In the center of each put a tablespoon of cherries. Carefully fold a piece and put on a baking sheet. Place the baking tray in a preheated oven and bake puffs. When ready, pull out the envelopes and decorate them with powdered sugar.
  2. Pancakes with cherries. Cook the pancakes and wrap the cherry fruit inside. Top with syrup and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
  3. Cake "Winter Cherry". Mix together 3 cups of flour, 1 teaspoon of baking powder and 200 grams of margarine. Add 3 yolks and 200 grams of sour cream. Knead the dough and put it on the refrigerator for a couple of hours. Divide the dough into eight pieces. Whisk the remaining proteins with 3 cups of sugar. Roll one part of the dough and coat it with the squirrels on which you put the cherry. Top with the second part of the dough. Put everything in a preheated 180 degree oven for 20 minutes. Do the same in three more such parts. Prepare the cream. To do this, in a glass of milk, pour 7 tablespoons of flour and dissolve it. Boil another 1.5 cups of milk and pour into the previous one. Rub together a glass of powdered sugar and 300 grams of butter. Add to this mass milk with flour. Lubricate all the cakes and connect them together.
