Carp on the feeder. Technical points and tips

Carp is a fairly common type of fish. The crucian carp is caught on the feeder and other gear during the warm season, with the exception of spawning. Fishermen assure that catching the crucian carp at the feeder is not so easy, because of all the species of the carp family, crucian, probably, is the most difficult when catching this tackle. To predict its preferences in food in advance it is practically impossible. Even during the day, he can several times change his diet.

The crucian carp is caught mainly in stagnant water, as, like other white fish, it prefers a strongly silted bottom, which can not but affect the feeder assemblies and tackle. Optimal rigging of the feeder for crucian carp will be approximately the same: feeder installation - inline or paternoster, hooks 10-14 size, main line 0,16-0,25 and leashes 0,12-0,18. Recommended rod length of 3.6 m, test - 40 g. The spool in the coil should be 2000-2500 size. The length of the leashes should not be more than 40 cm, otherwise it will be necessary to pick out the hook from the throat of the crucian carp, putting considerable effort, which will cause it significant damage, and by the end of fishing your catch will float upward belly.

More on bait

It should immediately be noted that there is a mass of all kinds of bait recipes for crucian carp, but not all give such a positive result as the one that will be proposed further. We take 1 part of ground cookies, 1 part of breadcrumbs, 1 part of ground makhu (cake), 1 part of wheat bran, a little ground, well-fried seeds, very slightly ground maize and wheat and a small part of dried milk. Flavors of our bait can be: caramel, vanilla, fruit flavors or ground coriander. It is also possible to use fishmeal to enhance flavor. If there was a feeling that an insufficient amount of bait was obtained, then you can add boiled pearl barley or millet to it. In the spring, the addition of fodder or joker will be very effective.

Process of catching

The recommended weight of the feeder is 10-30 g, since the crucian is caught on the feeder usually in strongly silted places, and in this connection some difficulties may arise. For example, a feeder, even the smallest, can completely immerse itself in silt. This problem is solved by the fact that the feeder for crucian carp can be equipped with a plate of non-fading material, which is inserted into the middle of the feeder. Its weight thus does not increase, buoyancy grows only.

Experienced fishermen recommend fishing for two fishing rods, as pecking the carp on the feeder is rather lazy. To attract the attention of flocks of fish with large chunks of bait we feed close to the shore and a little further away, that's how the fishing rods will be installed. From the large parts of the food, the turbidity is brought in, really attracting a flock of fish.

There are times when it does not bite at all. As mentioned above, crucian carp on the feeder bites very little, but there is a way to "stir" capricious fish. We pull the feeder along a bit to the shore on the bottom. Slamming into the bottom, the trough creates the very dregs provoking the crucian to look for food. Using a long lead on the tackle, you can achieve a bite by force, because, pulling the tackle, the hook hangs for a while in the water column, and then falls, which with a high probability can simply make the fish peck. Good luck!
