Car Travel in Ukraine

About five years ago I made a car cruise with Ukraine along with my friends. The trip promised to be interesting. The path was not close: from Rostov-on-Don across Ukraine to the west to the ancient city of Chernivtsi, and then to the north in Gomel.

We crossed the Russian-Ukrainian border at about three o'clock in the morning.

And suddenly in the middle of the night, right in the steppe in front of us grows a miracle! The huge wide road, which glows with colored lights, on both sides are cafes, restaurants, some insanely beautiful buildings, everywhere they go, dance, sing smartly dressed people. Music, noise, laughter, fun! The real Las Vegas in the steppe! We turn off and drive slowly, marveling at such splendor. After about two kilometers, everything ends, and we are again in the middle of the steppe on a dark desert road that leads us to the shore of Taganrog Bay.

The first on our way lay a small town in the Donetsk region - Novoazovsk, located on the shore of Taganrog Bay. I must say that the sea in this place is very useful, its bottom is covered with a special black clay, which treats a variety of diseases. On the beach here and there lie, sit, people walk, smeared with this healing clay.

Mariupol met us in a gray foggy morning, in a surprisingly dirty street and blue ribbons flying in the trees.

Next were Berdyansk, Melitopol, inconspicuous little villages, rickety wooden houses with half-ruined fences and monotonous wells with wooden sticks-cranes ...

We drove to Dniepro Hydropower Station at night. This is a fascinating sight to see! A sparkling bridge with orange lights and the dark waters of the Dnieper!

The farther we moved to the west, the landscape became more prominent, the flat forest-steppe was replaced by foothills and mountains. Changes occurred not only in the landscape, more and more beautiful houses, good fences and gates decorated with colorful mosaics began to appear more and more. The wells were a small work of art, and cranes were amazed by their multicolored.

Finally, we reached the oldest city of Chernivtsi, which appeared before us in all its splendor, where small, cobblestone streets were neighboring with huge modern squares, while masterpieces of world architecture were peaceful with modern buildings ...

I managed to make such an amazing and cognitive journey in Ukraine. And, I must say, I was in many ways amazed by the contrast between the Eastern and Western parts of it.

Travel - is inherently the most interesting adventure, there are so many places in the world where we have not visited yet, so we need to fix it! And if you do not visit, at least read about the most interesting events in the world of travel and tourism.
