Bratislava Park: description and photo

In the late nineties, the construction of new housing estates and microdistricts in Maryino began in the Russian capital. Muscovites even jokingly nicknamed these places Russian Las Vegas, as the plan for building buildings was unusual for our country and is similar to "foreign." In 1998, the Bratislava Park was opened in Marino.

It symbolizes the friendship between Moscow and the capital of Slovakia - Bratislava, as evidenced by the inscription on the stone, which was laid by the delegation from Slovakia. The Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation initiated this idea.

Description of the park

Bratislava Park is located on a territory of 7 hectares, it has more than 35 thousand trees, there are lawns and flower gardens. The green zone is separated from the houses by a hedge from the bush. In the heart of the park is an artificial pond with a small island. The latter was chosen by wild ducks, who eagerly nest there, and fly south in winter.

One of the most interesting places in the park is a hill on the shore of a pond (artificial mound hill). It is never empty, in winter it is used for sledging and snowmobiles.

Attractions in Bratislava Park

Bratislava Park (Moscow) can boast the following sights: the original bench "Swans", which was presented by Bratislava in 2012, the "nominal" linden of the mayor of the capital of Slovakia, planted by him personally.

The Bratislava park is equipped with children's sports and gaming facilities. Today it is one of the most promising centers of Moscow's sports life. At the local ice rink and the football field, sports events are held regularly. A large territory allows you to arrange ski races and jogging.

For children there are attractions: hills, swings, carousels, etc. The landscape in spring and summer is decorated with bright flower beds, in the shade of numerous trees you can comfortably spend time resting from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Ice Palace

The Bratislava cascade park is notable not only for its attractions. In the park there is a closed-type ice rink "Ice Palace", which works all year round. Also there is a large football field, which in the winter is flooded with water and turns into an open ice rink.

There is a small café with hot buns and coffee. For several years, the "Ice Palace" has been a popular figure skating school. Also there is a hockey school. Classes are visited by both small children and adults. It can be done individually and in groups, under the guidance of experienced coaches.

Today Bratislava Park is a place dear to the heart of Muscovites. This is confirmed by the fact that you can often meet newlyweds, surrounded by enthusiastic friends and relatives. By Moscow standards the park is very young, but already has its own traditions. For example, on the day of the wedding, the bride and groom take their hands and climb the central hill on the stairs. This they symbolically show that they are not afraid of obstacles and are ready to overcome the difficulties of living together and build a strong happy family.
