A great start

Boris Titov was born in Moscow on December 24, 1960. Childhood and youth passed like most Soviet children of that time. Although there were features related to family requirements.

A young man graduates from an English special school. After receiving the certificate, he directly goes to the most prestigious university of the country - MGIMO (Moscow State Institute of International Relations). He chooses the Faculty of Economics. He studies successfully, his subjects are really interested. In 1983 he received the diploma of an economist-internationalist. The young specialist was in demand and gets a place in the foreign trade association "Soyuznefteexport". He is entrusted with an important direction: the supply of oils and petrochemicals.

The first attempts to make money

The desire to independently earn even small money from the future millionaire has always been. While still studying at the institute, Boris Titov tried to sell records. Career

The first step in his career is working in Soyuznefteexport. In 1983-1989, he was engaged in the supply of petrochemical products to Latin America and the Far East. In parallel, in 1983 he worked in Peru as a translator from the Spanish language.

In 1989 Boris Yurievich left his former place of work and became the head of the department of chemistry in Urals. This position at the Soviet-Dutch enterprise was the next step in career development. In 1991, he holds the post of executive director of Solvalub (Solvalub). The joint venture of Titov and several partners was created on the basis of the bought out London firm Solvents and Lubricants. Gradually, the company becomes an investment group. It supplies agrochemicals and petrochemicals, liquefied gases and other petroleum products.

The firm "Solvalub" is building a chemical terminal in Ventspils port. Another "Caucasus" port she buys in 1994. International trade remains its main activity. By the end of the nineties, the company began financing domestic projects. The investment of trade operations, the investment of capital in transport and production projects is carried out by Boris Titov. A new upsurge

1996 brings the following changes in the career of Titov. Boris Yuryevich is elected president of the company "Solvalyub". Three years later, Interkhimprom, which managed Solvalub's assets in the Russian Federation, receives a new chairman of the board, Boris Titov.

  • OJSC "Tver polyester". He is engaged in the supply of foil-based fabric on the Ford plant for car seats in Vsevolozhsk and AvtoVAZ.

The beginning of the new century coincided with Titov's presidency in ZAO Agrochemical Corporation Azot. The Solvalub Group became a co-owner of this largest fertilizer producer, along with such a giant as Gazprom. In 2002-2004, Boris Yuryevich headed the Fund for the Development of the Industry of Mineral Fertilizers as president.

Social activity

Despite his busy schedule, Boris Titov, the commissioner for his work to understand economic issues, begins to engage in public work. The first experience he acquired in 2000, when he became vice-president and a member of the Bureau of the RUIE (Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs). In 2002-2005 he headed the ethics commission.

The public organization "Delovaya Rossiya" in May 2004 elects Boris Titov as its chairman. This society is trying to create a favorable climate for investment in the regions. His activities led to a clash with Finance Minister Kudrin.

As the head of "Business Russia" he is one of several other public organizations. Among them is the Council for the Implementation of National Projects. Support for a young family is one of the projects under the control of Titov. Another structure - the Council for the Promotion of the Development of Civil Society Institutions - has led to an increase in the public activity of the entrepreneur.

Several areas are directly related to economic issues. It is a member of the Council on Competition and the Government Commission on issues coordinating the development of industry in Russia. In the Corporate Governance Council, Titov became a member of the presidium, and in the Russian-Chinese Business Council - as chairman. In 2005 he joined the Public Chamber.

Party life

In 2007, Boris Yuryevich, an ordinary member of United Russia, is a member of the Supreme Council of the Party. Before him, he set a goal: to bring economic problems to the general public. This requires the power of the party and the political platform.

The following year, together with three other founders, forms the opposition party Just Cause. It was headed by three people: Titov, deputy chairman of the Union of Right Forces L. Gozman and Georgy Bovt, journalist. The coalition lasted until 2011. Together with the liquidation of the co-chairmanship, the party has a single head, Mikhail Prokhorov.

In June of the next year, under the decree of President Putin, a new post was given to Boris Titov. The Commissioner for the Rights of Entrepreneurs under the President of the Russian Federation is called upon to protect the interests of business. Party activities were not in vain. The clash of economic and political issues in the formation of the party's strategy led to the formation of a clear idea that "business can not risk relations with the authorities."

Initiatives by Titov
