Biography of Chingiz Aitmatov

The writer was born in Kyrgyzstan in the small village of Sheker, which now belongs to the Talas region, in 1928, on December 12. His father's name was Torekul Aitmatov, he was from the peasants and at the beginning of the revolution he actively supported the Reds. After the formation of the councils, he became a party worker of the Kirghiz SSR, and then a prominent statesman. However, he was arrested in 1937, and then shot.

Mother Chingiz Toreklovicha was called Nagima Khamzievna, in the maidenhood of Abdulayev. By nationality, it was Tatar. Under Soviet rule, she worked as an army political worker, and then became a public figure. The future writer with his brothers and sisters grew up in the village of Sheker, where the family moved shortly before the father of Chingiz was arrested.

Institute and first works

Chingiz Aitmatov finished eight classes. However, the novel was brought to the attention of the writer by the novel "Jamilya", printed in the pages of the magazine "New World". It was in this work that for the first time the features of the literary prose emerged: the inseparable fusion of descriptions of the customs of the people and nature with intense dramatism in describing the character of the lyric hero.

After graduating from literary courses, the journalist Chingiz Torekulovich Aitmatov starts his work. Biography of the writer continues in the city of Frunze, where he became editor of the local magazine "Literary Kyrgyzstan." Then in the 60-80s he served as a deputy to the Supreme Soviet of the USSR, was a delegate to the Congress of the CPSU, was a member of the editorial board of the Literary Gazette and the New World. In addition, during this time, Aitmatov was awarded three times for his works by the State Prizes of the USSR. The main hero of the novel was Yedigei, a simple Cossack who works at a half-station, lost in the steppes. In the fate of this man and his entourage reflected the life of the whole country: pre-war repression, the Patriotic War, heavy post-war labor, the construction of a nuclear test site. The events of the novel consist of two plans: the events taking place on earth and in space. Extraterrestrial civilizations did not stay aloof from what happens to people.

This is a story about the boy Kirisk, who first went to sea with his father, the clan elder and a cousin uncle. In fact, the boy passes the initiation ceremony, after which he will be entitled to be called a man. The beginning of the hunt was successful, but after they caught the first seal, a storm began. When everything was quiet, a thick, impenetrable fog descended to the sea. The work abounds with myths and legends of peoples living on the shores of the Sea of Okhotsk.
