In it, we will take a closer look at the very essence of the configurations of this program, we will touch on the topic of presets, after which we turn to the settings for video and audio. The settings of the microphone will not be ignored. But even after all of the above, it may seem a little to you, and that's why we'll talk about how to set up a microphone for voice recording. In addition, we will determine how to configure the program so that during the recording of the video nothing prevents you enjoy the process.

What should I set up first?

So, in this article we are discussing the Bandicam program. How to configure it, we'll talk later, and now we'll talk about the pre-configuration theme. In simple terms, at this stage you will learn how to process the interface of the program itself, which will be displayed during the recording, so that it does not distract from the main process. If you do not know about Bandicam (how to configure this program), then follow the clear instructions that will be set out below.

First of all, you need to open the program itself. After that, you will see a window in which the main recording modes will be located on the top (in a row), and on the left panel - tabs. You should pay attention to the tabs. At the moment we are interested in the FPS tab. We pass into it.

As soon as you click on the tab, before your eyes the main field of the program has changed to the one that you see in the image below.

There are two columns on this tab: "FPS Overlay" and "FPS Restriction". Now about everything in order.

In the "FPS Overlay" column, first tick the "Position on the screen" checkbox. After you do this, the image on the right becomes active. On it you will need to select the area where the frame rate indicator will be displayed. After you pay attention to the item a little bit above under the name "Hot key". If you mark it, then the field is activated on the right. In it, you can specify the same hot key, after pressing which the FPS indicator will appear or disappear during the recording.

So, in the Bandicam program (how to set up the "FPS Overlay"), we figured out, now we move on to the next column - "FPS Restriction".

Here everything is simple. Of course, there are no precise instructions on the configuration of these options, but the value of each of them should be told:

  • "Set the limit." If you tick this box, the next field will be the active field. In it, you can specify the same frame rate limit. At this stage, there will not be clear instructions, but if you are sure that your PC is powerful enough, then you can even not tick it.
  • "Hot key". With this, we believe you are familiar.

Now you know more about the Bandicam program. How to configure the FPS tab, we learned, but this is just the initial setup of the program.

Setting up video and audio

Now we'll figure out how to set up the sound in Bandicam, but do not forget about the option, like video, because this is the main purpose of the program.

To succeed, follow the instructions:

  1. Initially, go to the "Videos" tab.
  2. Click on the "Settings" button on the top.
  3. In the appeared window, pay attention to the item "Sound recording". Mark it with a tick.
  4. In the field "Main Device", in the drop-down list, select the name of your speakers. If you do not know it, then mark Win Sound (WASAPI).
  5. Click OK.

Now you've set up the sound, but did not touch the video options. That's why follow the following algorithm:

  1. On the "Videos" tab, click the "Settings" button, only now from the bottom. The "Format Setup" window appears.
  2. It has three fields: "File format", "Video" and "Sound". We are only interested in the first two.
  3. In the file format, select AVI.
  4. In the "Video" field, set the size that you like best. Of course, it is recommended to choose the full size.
  5. The codec is H264. It is the most universal for all systems.

After that, click OK. This completes the audio and video setup. Now go to the settings of the microphone.

Microphone setting

If you do not know in Bandicam how to set up a microphone, then do not think it's difficult. Following the instructions, you will manage in two counts.

  1. On the "Videos" tab, click the "Settings" button, which is located in the "Record" column.
  2. In the already familiar window, pay attention to the tab "Additional device".
  3. In the drop-down list, define the name of your microphone.

In general, that's all, the setup is over. However, to make it clear, it is worth mentioning that after selecting a device during recording, sound from the microphone will be recorded. It is recommended to do this only if you intend to voice what is happening on the screen.

Improvement of quality

About the improvement of quality - everything is simple. As it is easy to guess in order to increase it, you need to unscrew all parameters to the maximum. That is why at this stage we will consider these very parameters.

  1. In the "Videos" tab, go to the format settings.
  2. Pay attention to FPS, "Quality", "Bit rate" and "Frequency". In FPS specify 60, quality - 100, bitrate - the maximum value, frequency - the maximum value.

That's all, now video recording will proceed at maximum settings.

Settings for weak PCs

Now it's worth talking about how to set up Bandicam so that it does not lag during the recording. For this, it is necessary to carry out the actions opposite to the previous point. That is, all the above settings are reduced to a minimum. In this case, FPS is recommended to be set to 30.

Important: in order to optimize the Bandicam program for weak PCs, the settings should be made only in the "Video" tab, since other settings do not affect the performance of the PC in any way.
