Auto-load in the Windows registry
Each user knows that in order for the program to work, it must be started. This can be done by pressing the Enter button on the executable file or by double-clicking with the mouse button, as is the case with graphical operating systems.
It may seem that there is no need to control the work of bootable programs. In fact, this is not so. Let's run a small practical experiment and see what the Windows 7 "Startup" registry contains. First, you need to call up the Start menu and select the "Run" command (can be duplicated by pressing the Win + R buttons simultaneously). In the line that appears, type msconfig and press Enter. A window will appear in the "cap" of which you need to proceed to the Windows 7 partition - "Startup". There is no need to open the registry, since this method was just created to simplify the work with records in the corresponding branches. We specifically indicated the version of the operating system, since Win 8 requires an intermediate action - clicking on the "Open Task Manager" link. So, after selecting "Startup", the user sees a list of programs that are downloaded in the background.
Unfortunately, as it sometimes happens, not all programs from the list are needed by the user. Moreover, some are simply harmful. For example, the Java component update module constantly monitors the release of new versions and uploads them when necessary. Undoubtedly, with a fast unlimited Internet it is quite convenient, however, users with a non-gigabit payment for traffic are better off this option. In addition, all the background programs reserve for their needs part of the RAM, so if it is not enough, then the extra entries from the list should be deleted. Also do not forget that the more entries in the startup, the longer the initial loading of the modules of the system. For example, the BCSSync.exe file, installed with a known office package, can be disabled in most cases. Auto-load in the registry can be configured by modifying the branch "HCU \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Run" (running Win + R and the regedit command). However, this is not very convenient. The above method is more obvious. Alternatively, you can specify third-party programs that allow you to work with the startup list. This is CCleaner, Tune Up Utilites, XP Tweaker and many others.
