Assassins Creed 4 Black Flag: system requirements, release date and expert reviews

Series Assassins Creed literally blew up the gaming industry. Starting from the very first part, the games of this series constantly occupied the top lines of all the charts. Gamers were delighted, as they were presented with something they had not seen, and with each release the game was getting better and better. Therefore, the adventures of various assassins who work for their own clan and oppose the Templars, are still among the most fascinating among all computer games. Separately, I want to pay attention to the fourth part of the series, which was called the "Black Flag". Already here you can guess that it's not about the standard environment of the Middle Ages, but about real piracy. Therefore, prepare to travel the waves, grab ships, defend your ship and move on the breathtaking plot. For Assassins Creed 4: Black Flag system requirements were not set high, so try yourself in the unusual role of the killer-pirate can almost everyone.

What makes the "Black Flag" impressive?

If you played in the first three parts of the series, you should understand that the developers went on a fine line. And the point here is not that they hacked, giving out a new part as a slightly modified old one. On the contrary, all the works related to the series turned out to be surprisingly qualitative. Very often loud series do not stand the pressure, the developers are trying to earn as much money as possible on the sensational name, because of what quality projects roll down to the very bottom. Here everything happened quite differently, and all three parts of this series were simply magnificent. What was the pressure on Assassins Creed 4: Black Flag! The system requirements for this game, of course, were raised, so the fans of the series were expecting something unusual. And they got it. The developers took a chance, and the fourth game of the series was done according to the same concept as the previous ones, but they transferred the actions to completely different conditions. What happened in the end? Another masterpiece, which should be played by everyone who loves this series and this genre in general. But enough about the game itself Assassins Creed 4: Black Flag. System requirements are now much more important. Will they allow the owners of a weak computer to feel like a real pirate?

Operating system requirements

Given the fact that this game was released in 2013, you should not expect anything unusual in the graph of the operating system for the game Assassins Creed 4: Black Flag. The system requirements for OS are standard - the minimum you need is to have Windows Vista installed, but it is advisable that there is a seventh or eighth "Windows" on your machine. As in most modern games, the XP version is no longer supported, so you either have to reinstall the operating system, or create a virtual OS through which you will run this game. Naturally, the first option is much simpler, because almost all modern games are not supported by XP, not only Assassins Creed 4: Black Flag. The system requirements for the PC, however, do not consist exclusively of the operating system, so you will need to pay attention to a few more points.

CPU

One of the most important components of the computer is the central processor. And if you want to run Assassins Creed 4: Black Flag on your computer, the maximum system requirements should be your goal. Naturally, you can play even if you have minimal settings, but the impressions from the process will be much worse. So, if it's a processor, then you need at least 2.6 GHz of performance to run this game on your machine. This is not very much for modern computers, but if you have not updated the hardware for a long time, then this can cause some difficulties. Naturally, it's best if you have a processor that meets the recommended requirements - it should have a performance of at least 3 GHz. This is more impressive than in the previous case, but it is quite feasible, so you are unlikely to have problems with running Assassins Creed 4: Black Flag. The system requirements for a computer for any game are oriented more toward RAM. It will be discussed later.

RAM for Assassins Creed 4: Black Flag

According to this parameter for the game Assassins Creed 4: Black Flag system requirements are minimal only two gigabytes. This is an excellent level of optimization, since at the minimum settings this part of the series will go on almost any machine, including on most laptops, which, in essence, are not particularly designed for computer games. But you still need to remember that the best impression of the gameplay you get only at the maximum settings, but for this you better get four gigabytes of RAM. With such a set of Assassins Creed 4: Black Flag will function on your computer just perfect.

Graphic requirements

Do not forget that the video card is also an important component in the process of launching video games. Therefore, it is important that it also meets the requirements specified by the developer. If you have 512 megabytes of video memory, then you can run the game at minimum settings. But it is recommended to have a card with one gigabyte of video memory to fully experience the beauty that the developers have created for you. Only then you can immerse yourself in the world of the "Black Flag" and enjoy piracy in full.

Free space on hard disk

Now the problem of hard disk space is quite actual. Of course, the creators of these carriers are constantly increasing their volume, allowing you to store more and more information. But at the same time computer games are constantly added in quality, which also affects their size. Therefore now even the "Black Flag", which is not the most advanced game to date, will take on your hard drive about thirty gigabytes. And here it is worth taking into account one important point - to install the game, the computer will need an additional backup space, where it will record temporary files. And the larger the size of the game, the more the computer needs a backup space. Therefore, to install the "Black Flag" is recommended to release not thirty, but about fifty gigabytes, so that the installation was successful and without problems, and then the operation of the game was not violated by reports that you do not have enough free space on the hard disk.

Released Games

Many players are wondering when this part of the Assassins Creed series came out. Unfortunately, it is impossible to give an unambiguous answer here. The fact is that this project is cross-platform, that is, it came out both on the consoles and on the PC, and the release dates were different. First of all, the "Black Flag" was released on the consoles of the old generation - it happened on October 29, 2013. Next, on November 15 of the same year, the game was released on the PS4 console. November 19, the long-awaited release on the PC took place, and on November 22, the "Black Flag" was released for the Xbox-One.

Criticism

If you analyze the reviews of critics from Western gaming magazines, you can conclude that the game was definitely a success - eighty percent of reviewers put positive assessments. And only twenty are neutral. Negative feedback was not at all. At the same time, the average score was 8.4, which is high enough for any game of this scale, to which so many demands were made. It is noteworthy that of the 18 Russian publications only two put neutral assessments, and on average the score was exactly the same - 8.4.
