Armen Gasparyan: if the story is in the blood

Armen Gasparyan is a famous Russian historian, journalist, writer, publicist, radio personality and public figure. His popularity gained through a series of historical books on the past of Russia. Winner of many journalistic and writers' contests, as well as laureate of the "Patriot of Russia 2013" award.

The Story in My Blood

Armen Sumbatovich Gasparyan was born in Moscow on July 4, 1975. There is no detailed information about his family, only that he spent all his childhood in the capital. From his youth he was fond of the history of his native land and country. Especially the boy was interested in important events of the last century, since they predetermined the fate of Russia.

However, despite all his love for history, Armen Gasparyan entered the journalism faculty of the MNU. Lomonosov Moscow State University. This choice was not accidental. The thing is that a journalist's certificate could help open those doors where ordinary "mortal" simply do not get caught. And indeed, after graduating from Moscow State University, in 1996 Armen Gasparyan set about thoroughly studying historical archives.

The work completely absorbed him. With each day he more and more plunged into the abyss of the past, finding there answers to his innumerable questions. It was like a drug, to which Armen Gasparyan sat headlong. The historian understood that his knowledge can not be stored only for himself. Therefore, he decides to become the voice of the past, which conveys the truth about the history of the Motherland.

Acquiring popularity

The work of Armen Gasparyan begins in 1999 on the radio station "Youth". Here he leads such programs as "The Newest Story" and "The Last Storm". For a young journalist, this work becomes an excellent opportunity to declare yourself as a professional historian. And soon his expectations are justified.

In mid-2000 Gasparian was invited to the radio "Mayak". Here he acts as a specialist who oversees projects related to the Second World War. It was Armen who searched for the most relevant topics for the air and provided information on them. In addition, he was leading in such programs as "Great battles of the great war" and "Russians outside of Russia."

Armen Gasparyan cooperates with these two radio stations until 2008. During this time he acquires the glory of a well-educated historian, capable of repelling anyone who dares to lie about the past of Russia.

New stage

2008 was a turning point for Gasparyan. First and foremost, this is due to the fact that his debut books "OGPU v. EMRO." The Secret War in Paris. 1924-1939 "and" Operation "Trust". Soviet intelligence against the Russian emigration. 1921-1937. "And although his works could not cause more furor, they nevertheless presented the journalist with a new role.

No less important event was the fact that Arsen Gasparyan moved to work at the radio station "Voice of Russia". Here he continued to engage in history, releasing more and more new projects related to this topic. In early 2012, he was promoted to the editor-in-chief of the Russian radio service "Voice of Russia". A little more than a year later Armen Gasparyan took up the post of the head of special projects.

The beginning of a literary career

For the first time as a writer, Gasparyan announced himself on the pages of his own blog. It was called "Armen Gasparyan's Blog". In it, the publicist regularly uploaded materials on the White movement. Soon the resource of the journalist began to enjoy unprecedented popularity, however, like Armen Gasparyan himself. Photo of the writer more and more began to appear on the titles of articles related to the problems of history.

The first books of the writer were born in 2008. Unfortunately, then only a few readers paid their attention to them. However, the young author was not embarrassed: he still wanted to bring the light of knowledge to the broad masses. That is why I did not abandon my historical investigations in the future.

Armen Gasparyan: books turning the world over

In the period from 2008 to 2017, ten books were published from the writer's pen. All of them are the result of a long and painstaking work, connected with many years of research of archives and historical reports. And yet among them there is an unquestionable three leaders, which fully reflects the entire mastery of the author:

  1. "The collapse of the great empire" (2016). In this book, the author told about why Tsarist Russia fell. All the cause-effect relations that led to the October Revolution are written here.
  2. "Russia in the fire of civil war" (2016). If the previous book told us why the war started between the "reds" and "whites", then this work will tell you how it went.
  3. "War after the Victory. Bandera and Vlasov: a sentence without a statute of limitations "(2017). The last book by Armen Gasparyan is devoted to the problems of nationalism in Ukraine. In it he tells in detail about who Stepan Bandera is and why his actions should be considered shameful.

It should be noted that today the author remains true to his convictions. As before, Armen Gasparyan devotes all his time to the study of history, and soon he prepares for publication one more book. Therefore, all his fans and just fans of history in the near future will receive a new topic for reflection.
