Analysis of Nekrasov's poem "The Three". A detailed analysis of the verse "The Three" by NA Nekrasov

In the XIX century, poets wrote about the beauty of Russian nature, praised the heroism of the military, defended their native land, murmured against the injustice and cruelty of power, callousness, indifference to the social life of the nobility. But also there was no niche devoted to the life of ordinary peasants. Serfdom was abolished only in 1861, and even then only formally. The peasants lived on the rights of slaves, from the very birth their fate was predetermined, from the very childhood they were accustomed to hard work. It was especially hard for women. It is an uneasy female destiny devoted to Nekrasov's poem "The Three".

Nekrasov - the singer of the female share

Nikolay Alekseevich devoted a lot of his lyrical works to women's destiny. From his poems, the main character of which is a Russian woman, mother, sister, warmth and sympathy for their unhappy part. Especially sorry for Nekrasov was a young peasant women whose fate was predetermined from birth. The girls did not have time to fully flourish, as they were already languid and turned into old women. The life of a woman in Russia was short-lived, joyless, full of humiliation and torment. Each peasant woman dreamed of a fairy prince on a white horse, but Nekrasov was a realist, he knew perfectly well that it was someone's property and no happiness for her.

Folklore as the basis of the poem

An analysis of the poem by Nekrasov "The Three" shows that the poet was one of the first to create a generalized image of a peasant woman. The work became a folklore and became a Russian song, which emphasizes its direct relation to the people. The verse corresponds to the folklore canons only in the plot-composition plan, where the author contrasts life in nephewhood and after marriage. Oral folk poetry includes the phraseological cliche "damp grave" and an ethnographic detail like "scarlet ribbon in the hair".

In the plot-composition plan, folklore sources are emphasized with the help of images of "gay girlfriends", from which the main character retreats, staying in a world of dreams about a happy future. Then the poet writes in his work an evil mother-in-law, an unloved, rude husband. Troika, coachmen, the road - this topic already seemed exhausted and stereotyped, but nevertheless Nekrasov chose it to show the renewal of the social theme, the opportunity to beautifully and easily describe the reality that previously did not yield to poetization.

Interlacing folk lyricism and romance

An analysis of the poem by Nekrasov "The Three" allows one to refer the work to the song and romance style, although the romantic motifs here are intertwined with folk lyric poetry. Romance can be called the first part of the verse, in which there is a portrait description of the heroine, her meeting with the troika, and also heartfelt anxiety caused by the passing cornet. "Troika" is written in the form of a monologue, therefore all romantic elements are enclosed in the author's mouth.

The second part of the work belongs to naturalistic poetics, so it contrasts sharply with the first storyline. First, the author shows the dreams of a young girl, her hopes for a happy future. But Nekrasov in any situation remains a realist, so he lowers the reader from heaven to earth, drawing the real prospects of a poor peasant woman. Nikolai does not set himself the goal of condemning the people's life, he simply describes the reality with which he has to be reconciled, whether he likes someone or not.

Bright image of a beautiful peasant woman

In describing the image of the protagonist, the poet adhered to the late romantic orientation, choosing the ideal beauty of the eastern type, as indicated by the analysis of the verse "Troika". Nekrasov portrayed a girl with black eyebrows, black long hair in which a scarlet ribbon was woven, and a swarthy face. He agrees that it's hard not to fall in love with such a beauty, she will find a response to the heart of both the gray-bearded old man and the young master. But, unfortunately, the main thing is not beauty, but origin. The girl's parents are serfs, which means that she is someone's property.

The bleak prospects for further life

An analysis of Nekrasov's poem The Three shows that the poet wanted to warn gullible girls that they would not dream of fairy-tale princes, but immediately resigned themselves to their fate. The author perfectly understands that the main heroine is to marry an unloved, slovenly and indifferent husband to drink, who is not averse to instructing his wife with his fists. The girl will move to live in the house of the spouse, where she will have to serve all his relatives. Particular fear is caused by an evil and picky mother-in-law, ready to squeeze all the juices out of the daughter-in-law, bend her in three deaths, putting all her homework on fragile shoulders.

An analysis of the poem by Nekrasov "The Three" leads to the idea that, as it is unfortunate for him, the author advises to accept the poor things with their destiny. Very soon the black-haired beauty will turn into a decrepit old woman, in whose eyes the fear and stupid patience will stop. Women in Russia do not live long, because household chores, work in the field, the birth of children exhaust them, lead to incurable diseases. So, without knowing love and happiness, peasants fall into a damp grave.

Summing up

"Three" Nekrasov - a warning verse to all the girls, in youth and inexperience dreaming of a happy life with a beloved man. The poet understands that the heroine is in a hurry for a troika in the hope of pleasing the cornet, who would take it with her. The author breaks all hopes of the unhappy, saying that the young master is hurrying to another. The nobles belong to another world, in which there is no hard work, no hunger, no cold, and they do not care about the peasants who want to live a little comfortable and quiet life.

What else did you want to say with the poem "The Three" Nekrasov? The theme of the work pushes the reader to the idea that life is short, and a person does not have time to do all that he has conceived, somehow realize himself. The girl is in a hurry for a troika, but she has no chance to catch up with her, and she does not need to do this. Dreams of wealth - this is the only hobby of young people, making them though briefly, but happy. Nekrasov advises to throw out of my head empty dreams, because they even more deeply cloud the already difficult life of the peasant woman.
