In modern medical practice, the medicine "Analgin-quinine" is used as an anesthetic. This is a fairly well-known drug, which is prescribed for fever and pain syndromes of different origins.

The medicine is available in the form of round, biconvex tablets with a greenish film membrane. The main active ingredients of the drug are quinine hydrochloride and sodium metamizole. Excipients are microcrystalline cellulose, primogel, magnesium stearate, castor oil, talc, dyes, green pigment and glycerol.

Properties of the drug directly depend on the effect on the body of its active components. Sodium metamizole is a fairly strong analgesic, which also lowers the temperature. This substance has a weak anti-inflammatory effect, as it can influence the synthesis of prostaglandins.

Quinine acts directly on the centers of thermoregulation of the brain, has a local anesthetic and irritating effect.

The effect of the drug appears after 20 - 40 minutes after administration. The maximum impact is achieved in two hours.

The preparation "Analgin-quinine" : indications for use

As already mentioned, the drug is prescribed in the presence of pain syndrome. It is effective for headaches and dental pains, myositis, neuralgia, myalgia, migraines and arthralgia. It is also accepted by patients who underwent surgery.

The medicine is used in the presence of fever in inflammatory and infectious diseases. In combination with antispasmodics, analgin is prescribed for patients with biliary or renal colic.

Preparation "Analgin-quinine" : instructions for use

In most cases, the drug is used to relieve pain in adults, but occasionally it is allowed to take and children.

  • A child of six to ten years of age can take no more than 1 to 2 tablets twice a day;
  • Children between the ages of ten and fourteen can drink no more than one tablet four times a day;
  • The dose for adult patients is slightly larger. They can take two tablets from one to three times a day.

In fact, the amount and mode of taking the drug directly depend on the intensity of the pain syndrome and the frequency of its manifestation. In any case, no more than five tablets can be used at a time. The maximum daily intake for adults is 12 tablets. Take the drug can not last longer than five days.

The drug "Analgin" - a pretty strong analgesic, which has a number of contraindications. For example, it can not be assigned to children under the age of six. The drug is prohibited for pregnant women and nursing mothers. If, during lactation, it is necessary to take it, it is advisable to stop breastfeeding the baby.

The medicine can not be prescribed to patients with allergies to some components of the drug, as well as people with severe impairment of liver and kidney function. Diseases of the blood, inflammation of the middle and inner ear, atrial fibrillation are all important contraindications to the use of the drug.

The preparation "Analgin-quinine" : side effects

The most frequent reactions are from the digestive system: patients complain of abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting and loss of appetite. Occasionally, temporary visual disturbances, the appearance of tinnitus, dizziness and constant fatigue are recorded.

Even more rarely are such reactions as angina attacks, impaired kidney function, spasm of the bronchi, or a fever.

In people prone to allergies, taking the drug may cause rashes and redness on the skin, sometimes swelling.
