Analgin. Contraindications and harm

For several decades, analgin was the most popular drug in our country. He was admitted independently without limits literally in any kind of pain, without thinking about the possible consequences. A cheap drug that quickly removes pain is exactly what most people need.

However, according to many experts this medicine is harmful to health, and its systematic use is fraught with irreversible consequences. Analgin, contraindications to the application of which are very serious, was withdrawn from production and banned for sale in almost all developed countries of the world. However, in some countries, including Russia, the drug can still be bought in many pharmacies today.

Its active component - metamizol sodium - has a strong analgesic, antispasmodic and antipyretic effect. Analgin is still used for headache, dental, menstrual pain, with intestinal and renal colic, neuralgia, pain during trauma and after surgery, osteochondrosis, high temperature.

We buy such a familiar, since childhood analgin. Contraindications, side effects, dosage, overdose are not at all of interest to us. And in vain, because the drug has many limitations on the use and can cause serious disruption in the body.

Analgin has the following contraindications: individual intolerance of the drug, bronchial asthma, kidney and liver diseases, blood diseases, pregnancy and breastfeeding.

The drug can lead to the development of allergic reactions: skin rash, Quincke's edema, anaphylactic shock, severe allergic dermatitis, exudative erythema.

Systematic reception of analgin leads to asthma attacks in those suffering from bronchospasm, lowering blood pressure, disrupting kidney function, leukopenia, agranulocytosis, thrombocytopenia.

Prolonged use of the drug in large quantities can cause nausea, vomiting, shortness of breath, tachycardia, drowsiness, impaired consciousness, tinnitus, kidney failure, hemorrhagic syndrome, convulsions, paralysis of the musculature of the respiratory tract.

Most doctors do not doubt the analgin's doubt. It is recommended to take it only in exceptional cases, as an "ambulance" for acute pain. It is even better to abandon it altogether, replacing it with less dangerous anesthetics.

Analgin negatively affects the functioning of the kidneys. According to statistics, about 10% of patients suffering from kidney failure acquired the disease as a result of a long uncontrolled drug intake.

Analgin leads to the development of leukopenia - a serious blood disease, which reduces the production of leukocytes, which protect the body from inflammation. Especially dangerous for the blood is the combination of analgin with amidopirin, which some time ago was often used by ambulance doctors to bring down high temperature. These drugs are real killers of leukocytes. The lethal dose of analgin is 15 to 20 grams.

I must say that this drug does not treat the disease at all, but only relieves the pain for several hours. Analgin lovers harm their body not only with its method, but also with the fact that they refuse adequate treatment of diseases, but only relieve symptoms. As a result, the disease gradually transforms into a chronic form.

It is possible that taking analgin in rare cases, when it is necessary to remove acute dental or headache, and will not bring much harm to the body. But from its regular application it is necessary to refuse. Analgin can be used only as an emergency aid. Do not take the drug for more than three days, and its daily dose should not be more than three tablets. Taking analgin, contraindications and side effects should always be considered.

Of course, you do not want to suffer any pain, but you can always choose a less dangerous drug or take advantage of proven folk remedies.
