Past education institution

In the mid-1970s, the Institute of Culture appeared in the capital of the Altai Territory. It was erected in accordance with the order of the Council of Ministers and with the aim of training specialists for the creative side of life. The university existed and developed for several years. In 1995, its name changed. It became known as the Altai Institute of Arts and Culture.

An important year in the history of the educational institution is the year 2005. The university changed its status. The institute was replaced by the academy. Introduction to the Choreography Faculty

Choreographic structural unit AGAKI (Altai State Academy of Culture and Arts) established in 1989. The appearance of the faculty is connected with the opening in the institution of the department, at which ballroom dances were taught. In 2000, a new direction of training was created, connected with modern dances.

At present, university entrants are offered a choice between folk art culture and choreographic art. Both directions relate to bachelor's degree. The term of training for them is 4 years.

This structural unit originates in 1975. Previously, it was called the library and information faculty. However, in 2005 it became clear that this name no longer suited. The reason for this was the expansion of the list of educational services, the opening of new specialties.

At the moment the Altai State Academy of Culture and Arts at the Design and Information Resources Department conducts training in 6 areas of bachelor's degree:

• social work;
• Applied Informatics;
• Archival studies and documentation;
• Protection of natural and cultural heritage and museology;
• Information and library activities;
• design.

In all specialties, the faculty strives to provide quality training for specialists. This is possible due to the high scientific and pedagogical potential of the structural unit, the improvement of the methodological support of the educational process and the existing system of extracurricular activities.

Music faculty

Creative people, who love music, the Altai State Academy of Culture and Arts helps to reveal their talents in the music faculty. This structural unit has been operating since the foundation of the higher educational institution in Barnaul. Over the years of its existence it changed its name several times. For example, in 1994 the faculty was called musical and pedagogical, and in 1997 it became simply musical.

In the Altai Academy of Culture and Arts, this structural unit has 4 areas of training:

• Conducting;
• The art of folk singing;
• Teacher Education;
• Instrumental and musical art.

To study at the music faculty is interesting and informative. First, some teachers are leaders of leading urban and regional collectives. They can learn from experience, gain important knowledge. Secondly, the structural division of the Academy has an excellent material base. In the university there are auditoriums for rehearsals, a chamber hall.

Faculty of Artistic Creativity

This division was founded by AGAKI (Altai State Academy of Culture and Arts) in 1975. It, too, during the period of its operation was renamed several times. The Faculty of Artistic Creativity is a modern name. It is very capacious. This name includes various spheres of culture, in which graduates of the faculty can work.
