Abstract thinking is the ability to see in everyday objects something more

The concept of thinking is very deep and multifaceted. At first glance, under this term, one can imagine one or another mental process or activity associated with the analysis or synthesis of something. However, there are several types of thinking, and each of them has its own characteristics and characteristics. So, the ability to transform information about real objects into signs, then to make certain manipulations with these symbols and ultimately to apply the previously thought-out decision in practice is nothing more than abstract thinking. In other words, it is the ability to separate the properties of an object from the object itself. For example, this mental process is used to solve a problem using a drawing: the person reads the text, transfers the values to paper, ponders the solution, looking at the images, and answers the question.

Abstract thinking begins to develop in childhood, a sign of its formation is the child's ability to see in the object some extraneous properties. For example, the outline of puddles on the road reminds the animal, the shape of the building elements - figures, clouds - incredible fairy-tale characters. The development of this type of mental activity contributes to the formation of the creative and intellectual abilities of the child. So, practically all mathematicians, composers, scientists, writers or directors think in this way.

Like most human skills, abstract thinking can be developed. It is noteworthy that teaching the speculative process often takes place in the form of a game, which, of course, is liked by children. In particular, you can invite a child to play in the association: to name or show the subject and ask him to tell what he looks like. Also an excellent way to develop this kind of thinking is the shadow theater, because the shadow is a true abstraction, which gives the opportunity to fantasize and think.

People with a well developed speculative thinking are able to see the situation from different points of view, think through detailed and deep conclusions, and completely immerse themselves in the area under study.

However, for a high level of intelligence, it is necessary to master other types of mental activity. From the above, it follows that abstract thinking develops mental (inner) speech, which can be very deep. But most often in the head there are separate phrases or only words that conclude a fairly broad definition. And for the formation of oral speech (external), it is necessary to build clear sentences, logically and grammatically related. So, it is the ability to transform thoughts into a full speech called the term "verbal thinking".

Without superfluous explanations it is quite clear that a large vocabulary, a coherent speech and the ability to present interesting thoughts are mandatory criteria of developed intelligence. In other words, the formation of verbal thinking is an indispensable stage in the development of modern man. It is necessary to improve external speech from childhood, for this purpose it is recommended that the child should recite the story read or heard, express his opinion about a certain situation, events, etc.

Another important mental process is mathematical thinking. It is formed in the process of studying the queen of sciences - mathematics, which the name actually testifies to. The mathematical style of thinking promotes the development of laconicism (the desire to find the shortest path leading to the goal), the structuredness and clarity of actions and actions, scrupulousness, accuracy and punctuality.
