During the Great Patriotic War in the territory of the Botanical Garden, vegetable gardens were cut and wood cultures were cut down. This time caused great damage and questioned the continued existence of the botanical garden. But in the future the main territories were restored and put in order.

Currently, the Botanical Garden (Samara) is the only one in the entire Middle Volga region. Here the main scientific researches and works on the study of rare plants of the region and the breeding of new varieties are carried out. The government issued a decree on conferring the title of state monument of nature to this place .

The Botanical Garden (Samara) is currently the main scientific and research base for the Samara State University. On its territory there are events and lectures of various universities of the world, which cooperate with the Botanical Garden on various issues.

Residents and guests of the city should definitely visit the Botanical Garden (Samara). The mode of its operation depends on the day of the week. From Monday to Thursday, visitors can enter from 8 am to 5 pm. On Friday, the entrance to the territory is open until 12 noon. The Botanical Garden does not work on Saturday and Sunday.

How much does it cost to visit the Botanical Garden in Samara? The prices for tickets for schoolchildren, students and pensioners start from 20 rubles. For all the rest the entrance ticket will cost 50 rubles.
