A paper flower is an elegant decoration that you can make yourself!

Not always there is an opportunity to buy something grandiose and expensive as a gift. In this situation, a paper flower made by one's own hands can become an interesting solution. It will not be difficult to manufacture. It will require a standard set of tools and materials, which everyone has at home. On the other hand, in this way, you can make a kind of symbol of your feelings, which will then hang on the wall and remind you of some important event in your life (for example, offering the hand and heart). Someone may disagree and say that it is better to give flowers in this case. But these are not mutually exclusive things! You can give both, and others. In this case, after some time, the living will fade, but the paper flower will remain very long.

What should I prepare?

In the manufacturing process we will need such materials:

• paper;
• insulating tape;
• Heat shrink;
• Wire with a thick and thin section;
• glue;
• Cover from a plastic bottle with a capacity of 0.5-2.0 liters;
• Matches or a lighter.

In turn, in the process of creating such an article as a paper flower, the following tools will be needed:

• scissors;
• pencil;
• Ruler;
• The curvilinear;
• pliers;
• Side cutters;
• Brush for glue.

Ways

Before you make a paper flower, it is important to understand what you ultimately want to get. To date, the most common are two methods:

• Cutting and gluing;
• Twisting in a spiral.

The first method allows you to make sunflowers and chamomiles. In the second case, roses or carnations are better.

Sunflowers and chamomiles

In such a situation, each element of the hand-made article looms on the surface of the paper: all the petals, leaves on the stem and other design elements. Then they are cut out. As a frame, a thick wire is used. It is best to wear green heat shrinkage on it and warm it up with matches or a lighter for fixation. In extreme cases, it can be replaced by the same color of electrical tape. Then a thin wire for it is wound on it. It is similarly made out and from the other side a sheet is put on it. At the top of the resulting stem is installed a lid from a plastic bottle. The hole in it must be made strictly according to the section of the thick wire. Otherwise, it must be additionally fixed, for example, by winding the tape on both sides. Then petals are glued along its entire perimeter. Above them, the core of the future flower is likewise fixed. Further, the lower part of the bud is wrapped with green insulating tape. If necessary, the resulting paper flower is additionally decorated with paints or pencils.

Roses or carnations

Stem in this case is made similarly, but the lid is not needed. Also, instead of a sheet, a ribbon is used. In its absence, one A4 sheet can be cut into strips and glued together. The flower from a paper tape is created by winding it around the upper part of the stem. At the end, the bud is fixed using a thin wire. A green tape is wound on top of it. The top of the bud is properly decorated (with scissors).
