A nevus is forever or can it be removed?

Papillomatous nevus is a skin defect. From the birthmarks it differs, first, color (color coincides with the skin) and, secondly, the texture (its surface is covered with small tubercles).

Location:

Often a nevus can be found on the scalp (in this case it is permeated with hair). Education on the skin can be either single, or cover the whole body - it depends solely on physiology. The nevus is a disease that can slowly progress throughout life. A small skin defect in a child often turns into a major problem by a mature age.

Can I delete it?

The papillomatous nevus is usually removed if there is medical evidence for this. This includes, first of all, its rapid growth. Most likely, the doctor will not object if you express a desire to remove the nevus from the face (as it looks unaesthetically) from the neck and abdomen (in these places it is easy to injure - for example, the shirt collar or belt of trousers). However, keep in mind - before removal it is necessary to consult a dermatologist and an oncologist. The same applies to moles and warts. After removing nevus traces should not remain.

Treatment

For most people, a nevus is a serious problem, because it can disfigure even the most attractive face. Naturally, many are embarrassed by this defect and in every way try to hide it. In addition to purely cosmetic, the nevus is also able to deliver certain physiological discomforts. The skin next to it can itch, peel, itch. The neoplasm itself can grow in size and change color. In these cases, experts strongly recommend that the patient decide to remove.

Options

There are several varieties of this procedure. As well as birthmarks, nevus can be removed by laser, radio wave method under local anesthesia. If the formation on the skin is large, surgical excision is required. After the operation, the patient is sealed.

Electrocoagulation

This method is considered one of the most popular. The skin area is cauterized by an electric current of high frequency. The papilloma is then dried and separated from the body, and not completely burned. This allows you to examine the material and identify the causes of neoplasm.

Laser removal

The nevus is a kind of papilloma, which is perfectly susceptible to laser exposure. This method has many advantages: firstly, you will not feel pain; secondly, you will be guaranteed full sterility (because your skin will not be touched either by the doctor's hand or tools) and, thirdly, the laser beam stimulates cell division, So on your skin there will be scarring and scarring.

Cryodestruction

Removing with liquid nitrogen is also considered a fairly effective procedure, although it takes much longer than the two previous versions. After the skin area is frozen, after a while the tissue swells, then blisters appear. Only a few weeks later the rejection of the nevus takes place. If you take into account the period when the scar grows, the whole process takes about six months.
