A conditional group is .. Conditional group: definition, classification and features

If we talk about one particular person, then we can say with certainty that his psychology and behavior largely depend on the social environment in which he acts. How can it affect the personality of people? What is the social environment?

general information

The social environment is a society where people are divided into a large number of numerous and diverse compounds, called groups. There may be large and small groups. The conditional divisions in this case are relative and largely depend on the scale. As groups, states, nations, nationalities, parties, classes and other formations that have a professional, economic, religious, educational, cultural, age, sex or other basis for classification can distinguish. By means of certain levers in this case, there can be influences on the psychology of people.

Small group

It is the direct conductor of the influence of society, as well as of larger formations. It can also act as a feedback link when an individual influences a large group. The number of people who enter this association is about 2 to 30 people (the range may vary in different classification systems). Often small groups are also called cells of society (for example, you can bring a family). In her, one individual conducts, as a rule, most of his life.

The thesis about influence mentioned above should be attributed to small groups. What examples can be cited? In this case, a conditional group is schoolchildren, families with children, and so on. In this case, the behavioral and psychological community of the members is of great importance for the characterization of the association. Due to these features, the conditional social group stands out among the masses of others. But that's not all. It also becomes a socio-psychological education with a certain autonomy (let and relative) within the society. This can manifest itself in various characteristics, from external (like the territory) to deeply internal (family).

Conditional group

This is a union of people. It is important that they should not be previously identified in a small group. Such a combination is useful for comparing the results that were obtained during some research. The most important in this case are conditional and real groups. The peculiarity of the last associations is that they exist in reality. The real group fully corresponds to the definition of paragraph 2 of the article. On them it is possible to judge the trends that take place within the community of people. The conditional groups are also artificial formations. They are widely represented people of various professions, social belonging, ages, education and so on.

Application

So, we already know what a conditional group is. This is good, but where you can meet with them? Where is their formation important? Many people do not always understand the answers to these questions, and we will now deal with this.

So, let's look at the first example of a conditional group. We have a hypothetical politician who wants to be promoted to a certain position. But his people must decide his fate. In order to find out his chances, he orders a sociological study. Within its framework, a certain number of people will be interviewed (say, 2 thousand). Interested in the opinions of those who are between the ages of 18 and 60, as the most active. Then people are sent to different parts of the territory, who conduct a survey within this pre-defined group of people. They try to cover the population in such a way that the age of the interviewed individuals in percentage terms corresponds to the prevailing demographic situation in the country.

You can also look at the phenomenon, as a conditional group, from the point of view of marketing research. So, let's say that we are planning to release new bars. But how to determine how well they turned out? This is helped by a group of tasters, which is formed from potential consumers of products. In this case, the selection is made by age, social status, financial possibilities, and so on. Then they are given products, and tasters should give their assessment to the work of the technologists who created this bar.

Classification of conditional groups

This is done depending on how much activity is calculated. After all, it may be that this is only an inquiry of the moment, or long studies are being conducted, for which the classification of groups plays an important role. The conditional system here distinguishes:

  1. Unification of near future. In this case, issues are being worked out that can be implemented in the near future and as soon as possible. As a rule, information on the most important needs of the association is collected.
  2. A group of secondary goals. In such cases, studies are conducted for a longer period of time, and their main goal is to bring to the interests of the secondary team. In this case, you can give an example of an enterprise or a school. So, the psychological state of individual individuals can be checked, work is under way to create a more comfortable environment and so on.
  3. Combining long-range prospects. In this case, the primary group is considered together and exclusively in the context of the functioning of a certain social integrity.

Content

So, we already have an understanding of what can be attributed to conditional groups. It should be noted that for the success of the study, the object in question should be of interest to each member of the group. And there must also be points of contact. That is, the object of research should be perceived by the members of the group. So, we can confidently say that the information on expensive sports cars, obtained from the poor, will be of little value. To correct the data, the research objectives play an important role. They stipulate that research should be conducted in formal-purpose structures.

Organization

This aspect for conducting a successful study is as important as knowing what the "conditional group" means. In this case, it is necessary to separate the approach to data collection and the organizing principle. So, in the first case, the quality of the training of personnel who conduct research is considered. Returning to the example of the political system discussed earlier, it can be noted that how people can find mutual understanding with the respondents, how they approach the formation of questions and much more, affects the final result. That is, it is an important and inalienable element of research. Concerning the organizing principle, we can say that in this case it is considered that it was something that formed. It can be personified (for example, parents in the family or the founder of the enterprise). It may also be that the organizational principle is not easy to single out. But this does not mean that it is absent. So, if we consider the situation with leadership further, it can be assumed that the leadership function will be divided between people who are members of the group. Then in this case, the manifestations will be purely situational in nature, when the person who has the most experience in something will take control over himself.

Importance in Sociology

A conditional group is the basic element of many studies. To obtain the most accurate data, a certain selection is carried out according to strictly defined criteria. The use of the instrumental group of a conditional group allows us to judge the trends that are formed in society. At the same time, it should be noted that it simply allows you to know the state of affairs of certain people and get acquainted with their assessment. This is an important tool for maintaining feedback from voters for politicians or consumers for businesses. Conditional groups allow you to recognize people's opinions about certain issues or opportunities. Thus, interested organizations and people can reduce the level of their costs. Of course, one should realize that due to logical errors, significant data distortion is possible. Therefore, in order to obtain the most accurate result, you must act according to carefully designed instructions.

A sample of sociological research

Let us consider a political example. There is a country of two regions. The number of the first is twice higher than the second. The team of the politician conducts a survey of public opinion, and it shows that he can confidently win the presidential election. The process of expression of will of citizens takes place, and it turns out that he loses with a bang. Why? If we assume that the study was conducted without falsifications, then we can consider this option: it was conducted in the area where the politician had a lot of support. But there were fewer people at the same time. Therefore, despite the fact that the politician enjoyed considerable popularity, he still lost. To obtain reliable data, people should be sent to all administrative entities. And sociologists should be divided according to the percentage of people living.

Conclusion

Alas, it can be sadly noted that the instrument of conditional groups, and sociology in general, very often serve to abuse. So, as an example, we can consider the situation when politicians publish data that do not correspond to reality before elections. They may contain information that there is a choice of "OR", as well as the fact that a particular person is a peremptorious winner. Thus, there is an impact on the future choice of people. It must be resisted with all its might, as this is a direct attempt to influence the will. In an amicable way, such people should be removed from the elections. But there is also an issue of black PR. After all, similar publications can be ordered and one of the competitors. Whatever it was, it should be noted that the culture of using conditional groups is still not up to par. And it should be noted that this is observed all over the world. Therefore, we can conclude that there are people still to develop and improve.
