'Zodak' (drops): instructions for use

Allergy is one of the most common diseases, which complicates the lives of millions of people around the world. Indication for their use is the presence of the following diseases:

  • Allergic rhinitis and conjunctivitis (both seasonal and continuing throughout the year);

In the basis of the action of the drug "Zodak" (drops), the instruction for use calls the blocking of histamine H1 receptors. In turn, this effect reduces the manifestation of allergic reactions, reduces itching and reduces the migration of inflammatory cells. The effect of the drug is felt from 20 minutes to one hour after ingestion and lasts no less than 24 hours.

Drops of "Zodak" from allergies are produced in dark glass bottles with a volume of 20 ml with a special lid-dropper, which prevents the use of drugs by children.

As the main active substance of the preparation "Zodak" (drops), the instruction for use names cithersine hydrochloride. Its content in 1 ml (of the order of 20 drops) is 1 mg, among other substances in the composition of glycerol, methylparaben, ethylparaben, sodium saccharin, propylene glycol, sodium acetate, glacial acetic acid, purified water.

Children from 6 years and adults use 20 drops of Zodak once a day, preferably in the evening. If necessary, the dose and time of admission can be divided: 10 drops after awakening and before bedtime.

Babies from 1 year to 2 years - 5 drops twice a day.

There are groups of patients who need to be careful when taking Zodak:

  • Patients with renal insufficiency. They should reduce the daily dose by half;

  • To apply to people of advanced age the antiallergic agent "Zodak" is recommended under the supervision of the attending physician, he also prescribes the necessary dose of admission.

  • Dyspepsia and dry mouth;

  • Dizziness, headaches (including migraines);

  • Increased drowsiness and severe fatigue;
