Zalain cream: indications for use

"Zalain cream" is an antifungal agent and is intended for topical application. The main active substance in this medication is sertaconazole. Zalain cream is effective against many yeasts and fungi. Sertaconazole has two types of action relative to yeast and fungi, which is explained by its structure. In the molecule of this substance there is an azole ring that inhibits the synthesis of ergosterol, namely it is the main constituent of the cell membrane of fungi. Therefore, they lose the ability to reproduce. Also in the molecule is benzothiophene, which helps perforate the cell membrane of fungi, which leads to its death. Due to this "Zalain cream" has a strong fungicidal and fungistatic effect. The drug is effective in infecting with fungi such as Candida tropicalis, Candida albicans, Pityrosporum orbicular. It also adversely affects dermatophytes, microorganisms that cause infectious diseases of the skin, mucous membranes. If the cream "Zalain" is applied topically, then sertaconazole is not absorbed into the total blood flow.

Indications for use of the drug

The cream is used in the presence of skin mycoses, which are caused by microorganisms sensitive to sertaconazole, and this is:

- epidermofitiya feet and lower legs;

- presence of inguinal dermatophytosis;

- manifestations of dermatomycosis of brushes and smooth skin;

- with the appearance of pityrious lichen and candidal infections of the skin;

- presence of trichophytosis of the facial skin.

If there is an infection in the vagina, vaginal suppositories are used.

Zalain cream: instructions for use

The cream is applied once or twice a day until the symptoms disappear completely. In order to avoid relapse, it is necessary to continue treatment two more weeks after the clinical manifestations of the disease disappear. The cream is applied not only to the damaged skin area, but also around it. The duration of treatment depends on the degree of the disease, and it is necessary to start treatment with this drug when the first signs of the disease appear.

If there is a need to use vaginal suppositories, they are administered once a day, and it is better to do it at night. For a greater effect, the candles should be injected to the maximum depth, the presence of menstruation does not lead to a discontinuation of the drug. In most cases, one suppository is enough for a complete recovery, but with relapse it is worthwhile to apply this remedy a week later.

When introducing these candles, one should refrain from using soap with acid kN. Also, for greater effect in the perineum and vulva, it is recommended to use "Zalain cream". During the use of the drug, sexual intercourse is prohibited. It is desirable to conduct simultaneous treatment of both partners.

Possible side effects after application Zalaina

Usually this drug is normally tolerated by patients, but in some people its use can cause erythema. But it quickly passes after the application of the cream stops.

"Zalain cream" does not have a systemic effect, so there are no side effects.

Contraindications to the use of Zalaina

Do not take this drug to people who have increased sensitivity to any imidazole derivatives. Pregnant and lactating women can use the medicine only for the intended purpose and under the supervision of a doctor.
