Why do people go in for sports and why?

Now sports are treated more like a hobby - an interesting pastime, the result of which will be increased muscle mass, improved well-being or other positive effects. About sport, the average person usually recalls when a disease appears on the threshold of his life. There is no understanding that the body must necessarily be developed physically. We lead for the most part a sedentary way of life - a school, an institute, an office.

Misunderstanding and disapproval

It's hard for us to do exercises for ourselves in the morning, and jogging in your neighborhood in the morning or at the nearest stadium will catch your eyes full of surprise and skepticism. But at the same time, no one will pay attention to the guy with a bottle of beer and a cigarette. Allegedly this is in the order of things, and in principle, normal. The time of the duels has long gone, and today there are extremely rare situations when it is necessary to hit the enemy physically. Attacking has become a criminal offense, therefore it is preferable to resolve conflict situations in words. Alas, the civilization has come to the fact that increasingly young people "swing" in online games - in a virtual, and not in the real world.

Beauty is the key to successful relationships?

Nevertheless, most of the representatives of both women and men love that the partner was slender. And this is the first reason why people go in for sports in the 21st century - to win the hearts of the representatives of the opposite sex with their beautiful appearance. A small percentage of these people think about the fact that this is primarily their health and strength. A pumped person is one who follows a diet, does not smoke or drink. Unless, of course, it's not about bodybuilders, whose goal is not just a beautiful pumped-up body, but a mountain of powerful muscles - in this case, there are other bad habits.

Meal'n'Real!

Earlier the idea of physical strength was somewhat different. One of the reasons why people do sports, why it is popular at all times is a sight. At any time there were contests in which it was possible to show their advantage. Someone further than the others throws the core, someone is the fastest swimmer in the world, etc. Not by empty words, but by the way the athletes prove their superiority over rivals, the spectators watch the show with excitement. Moreover, in the early days of the existence of mankind it was important to have a physical advantage not for the sake of bravado, but for survival itself. A strong man could protect the family, the group - the community, and armies of experienced, hardy fighters defended the country until the firearms that significantly changed the distribution of forces became common.

And being strong, it was possible to show oneself in a fist fight, not only in the battle with the Horde.

The reasons why people go in for sports, in principle, are described above. You can imagine all this in the form of a list:

  1. Beauty.
  2. Force.
  3. Health.

But what else?

The financial side of the issue

Also, why people do sports, why it is popular and now is money. Yes, sports provide an opportunity to earn, a vivid proof of that - football.

If you can get through high enough, the amount of your fees will be significantly different from the cost of living in a positive way. At stake are huge amounts of money when on the field, for example, the national team of Brazil and Germany. Less popular hockey and basketball also bring sufficient dividends. And what can we say about the Olympic Games. This kind of competition can also be attributed to the reasons why people go in for sports, why it is popular at all times. Since the advent of the Olympic Games, any person who is seriously involved in sports would like to get into international competitions, where he could declare his physical abilities to the whole world.

Why do people do extreme sports?

Feeling of adrenaline running through your veins - that's what these madmen can not live without. Fearless people who perform incredible tricks, every millimeter from terrible trauma or even death. These people, for the sake of a spectacular stunt, for the sake of demonstrating something new, in order to beat the previous record, go for heavy, exhausting, dangerous training. In every kind of extreme sport, risks border on death.

You can die. But is it worth it?

The parachute may not open, a wave can strike a swimmer on the pitfalls, insurance can not save on the rise on a steep rock.

Why do people go in for sports, despite the risk of being disabled? Of course, we can say that people who are not related to extreme sports are not insured against such a disaster. After all, illness and accidents do not spare anyone. Athletes believe that risk is better than a boring life, consisting only of daily hikes from home to work and back. The development of physical possibilities is fine in itself, and it is even better to combine them with the harmonious development of the individual in terms of learning something new, in terms of revealing their talents, and searching for them a rational application that can bring not only moral but also material satisfaction. Why do people have to go in for sports? This is a full-fledged development of one's own organism, support of health, and, in addition, the hardening of will power, because those people who could overcome their laziness could get up from the couch and force themselves to work for themselves, at least worthy of great respect.
