Matryona was a simple woman, from the Volga peasants, she constantly told the girls stories from Russian folklore: about witches, woodpeckers, brownies, grandmothers-hedgehogs. These folk motifs later came not only in the cycle of stories about the housekeeper Kuzenka, but also in the collection of Tatyana Alexandrova "Tales of an old rag doll".

In 1985, the animated film "The Adventures of a Little House" was created, the script to which Berestov also developed, and in 1986 - "The Tale for Natasha." The last film from the series was the 1987 cartoon "Return of the Little House". The last two films about Kuzenka lasted only 10 minutes. It is also worth noting that the last three films have little in common with the original texts of Alexandrova's novels - the film crew considered the display of the original plot as too intricate for children, so the scenario group, to which Marina Vishnevetskaya was added, practically wrote the story anew. Perhaps this was the reason that the first film about the house Kuzma is more popular than the last three. Still, the author's word must remain primary.
