White dots on the nipples in women: possible causes of appearance

Everyone knows that the female breast consists of fat tissue by 90%. In each nipple there are ducts that can periodically clog up under the influence of external factors. Corking can manifest itself in the form of various formations - balls or dots of white color. To the touch, such balls are quite dense, with pressure on them, a white liquid can be released, odorless and viscous in its structure. Most women do not feel any pain symptoms. But in the bathroom, some women may feel uncomfortable in the chest, because during the pairing, these formations become dense. White dots on the nipples most often appear in nursing mothers and young girls who are actively undergoing maturation of the mammary glands.

The reasons for the appearance of white points

Many women who carefully monitor their breasts and conduct regular palpation of the mammary glands can immediately detect changes. Due to malfunction of the mammary glands , small white dots on the nipples may form. Clogging channels can provoke insufficient or ineffective hygienic procedures. Therefore, you should take a shower every day, after which the breast must be wiped with a linen rough towel, regardless of unpleasant sensations.

In young girls, the appearance of white spots provokes the production of fat tissue in large volumes.

It is proved that a hormonal failure in a woman can lead to various diseases and neoplasms, not an exception and white spots on the nipples. Pregnancy often occurs with a minor appearance.

Many nursing mothers face the same problem. But the reason for the formation of white dots is not in the large production of adipose tissue, but in how the baby takes the nipple. If the child grasps the nipple in only one place, then after a certain time there may appear a small hematoma on which the white dots will be located. Milk ducts are clogged in this case with fat from accumulated milk, which does not go away during feeding. Over time, newly formed balls begin to itch, bring a woman discomfort, and sometimes pain.

How to remove the white points of a nursing mother?

Each breastfeeding mother should know such rules:

  1. The nipple is the most sensitive part of the chest, so you should give your baby breasts from different sides to avoid pain as much as possible.
  2. Remember that the ducts must be necessarily open. In another case, you may have mastitis, which is treated in a polyclinic.
  3. If the white dots on the teats are present in a small amount, they can be removed by pressing. Preliminary need to treat the nipple. Thus, you can pull out the whole cork, beyond which milk can begin to stand out.
  4. In no case do not make a puncture yourself. Consult a doctor!
  5. If you periodically have white dots on your chest, then you need to contact a gynecologist or mammologist. Most often in such cases, the reception of drugs and related physiotherapy.
  6. Remember that the balls can also be a symptom of thrush, which can be transmitted from mother to child and vice versa. Be sure to watch for the purity of the mammary glands. The cause of thrush development are Candida mushrooms.

Thrush and duct obstruction

Thrush can cause cracking, maceration, or other damage to the nipple during feeding. Candidiasis affects primarily the areola of the mammary gland and, accordingly, the oral cavity of the baby. If the doctor has confirmed that female nipples are affected by thrush, then it is necessary to treat not only mother, but also the child.

Fordis and vitiligo granules

White spots on the nipple can be a sign of Fordis grains and vitiligo. Fordish granules are not a diagnosis. This is a cosmetic defect. Female nipples, lips and external genitalia are places where they can manifest. Such formations arise due to the congenital location of the sebaceous glands (when the secret accumulates inside the gland, and there is practically no possibility to bring it out). Visually Fordish granules look like nodules or spots of white color.

As a result of hormonal imbalance, these nodules most often become inflamed, causing itching, redness and discomfort. These sensations are most often intensified during menstruation. The disease recedes with the onset of menopause.

The cause of vitality (white spots) is a decrease or complete loss of function of melanocytes in hair, skin and on the retina of the eyes. Unfortunately, the causes and mechanism of the manifestation of this disease are not fully understood. This disease can overtake at any age.

Conclusion

If you see white spots on the surface of the breast, do not engage in self-medication. It is necessary to immediately seek help from a specialist doctor who will determine the cause of their occurrence and prescribe an effective treatment.
