History

As already mentioned, in 2002 the lyceum celebrated the centenary of its founding. This festive event was a kind of result of two-year work on the history of the native female lyceum.

Deep study of history began from the moment when it was found out during the preparation for the event that the Lyceum was the successor of several educational institutions that existed before the 1960s. Based on the studies conducted by the students under the guidance of history teachers, it was established that as early as 1902, on the basis of the decision of the St. Petersburg Academic District in Vologda, the first classes in the newly opened women's gymnasia began. Subsequently, the gymnasium moved several times, and four years after its opening, it was transformed into a gymnasium.

With the coming to power of the Soviets, gymnasiums were eliminated as a kind, the institution itself was transformed for joint training of young people and girls. The gymnasium became a second-degree school, that is, children from the fifth to the seventh grade were trained in it.

In the thirties the school was completely liquidated, in its place a new Cooperative College opened, which lasted from the 30th to the 32nd year. After that the building of the school was transferred under the guidance of the then existing 5th school, belonging to the second degree of education.

After the end of the war, the school again began to accept only girls for training. In the year 56, it was transformed into a boarding school, in which only girls could be trained.

The school received its current number 32 only in the sixties of the last century. Previously, it was believed that it was from this moment and begins its modern history. The school moved to the address: Kirov, house 35, where it is still located.
