When will the metro station "Solntsevo" appear?

Transport problems in remote residential areas of the south-west of the capital have been brewing for years and decades. Attempts to find the most rational way of solving them were made back in Soviet times, but for a variety of reasons, sometimes quite objective, they were constantly postponed for an uncertain future. The question of when the subway station "Solntsevo" will appear was relevant for many Muscovites for a long time. Such areas as Solntsevo and Novo-Peredelkino remained largely cut off and isolated from the capital's life due to their remoteness. And this gave rise to many social problems for their residents.

The case moved from the freezing point only a few years ago. Previously existing metrostroyevskie projects are largely revised and largely edited. And the new project has already been adopted. The Solntsevskaya line of the Moscow metro is being built at a shock pace. And the metro station "Solntsevo" should appear in the same-named Moscow district around 2016. According to the new design decision, the line of this line under construction will pass from the station "Yugo-Zapadnaya" (this is the Sokolniki direction) to Novoperedelkino. For technical and design solutions, this will be the so-called "light subway" of shallow laying. As part of the starting line of the Solntsevo line, six stations and five distances between them appear. Among the new will be the metro station "Solntsevo", the issue of the discovery of which excites more than one generation of local residents. It should be noted that the choice of a rapid construction option does not mean neglect of the architectural appearance of the new line, which was practiced in the Moscow metro at the beginning of the second half of the twentieth century, during the struggle against excesses. However, with the metro station "Solntsevo" this should not happen. Many stations of the Solntsevo line look very modern and expressive when looking at the illustrations for the project. It is now only for a worthy implementation of project solutions. And if everything goes according to the planned construction schedule, the metro station "Solntsevo" will receive the first passengers in three years. We will have to go to the station "Yugo-Zapadnaya", which will become a transfer junction. Plans for further extension of the line of the light subway beyond its limits are only being discussed, and there are several development options.

Plans and prospects

The administrative expansion of Moscow in the south-western direction in 2011 implies the provision of vehicles with new territories and residential areas of the capital. The famous Moscow outskirts of Solntsevo and Novo-Peredelkino, in the newly opened administrative circumstances, cease to be such. All this makes the extension of the branch not only for "South-West", but also in the opposite direction, towards the new Moscow quite urgent. However, a set of issues related to this is still only under discussion, and it has not yet reached concrete project plans.
