What was the name of Cipollino's friend? "Cipollino" - the main characters

Back in 1951, a fabulous story for children, The Adventures of Cipollino, was born, the main characters of which are well-known fruits and vegetables to all of us-live in a society with a pronounced feudal system. As the laws of the genre dictate, in the novels the nobles and the rich oppress the poor and the good. And, according to the same laws, in the end disinherited positive characters achieve justice. Of course, with the direct participation of the protagonist.

Several generations of readers were well acquainted with the bold and gay boy-onion. They knew the names of all members of his family, and they knew the name of her friend Cipollino. The slightest twist of the story was known to every schoolboy. What is the secret of such popularity? Why is this story almost forgotten in modern society? And why, wanting to stage the play, today change the plot of this tale?

The author of the story

"The Adventures of Cipollino" was created by the Italian writer Gianni Rodari. For a long time he worked as a journalist in a communist newspaper. The ideas of this political party are vividly spelled out in his fairy tales for children.

That is why in the open spaces of the USSR his work about a boy who spoke out against the malicious oppressors of the people found a very lively response. The books were published in huge editions, in 1961, based on the novel, they shot a cartoon, in 1964 they released a filmstrip (a sequence of colored frames with signatures that were projected onto the wall), and in 1973 they shot a full-length feature film in which the author himself can be seen as a storyteller - Gianni Rodari. "Adventures of Cipollino", thus, firmly entered the minds of both children and adults.

Distribution of roles

As already mentioned, in the role of fairy-tale heroes are fruits and vegetables. Sharing his characters, Rodari tried very clearly to draw class differences. So, in the role of simple villagers are ordinary garden crops. The family of the main positive hero is the bulb. And if you remember the name of a friend of Cipollino (Radisca), the parallel that the author holds is clear: the closer to the ground, the less the character is noble.

In the role of rich people are fruits that grow high on the branches. Lemon is a prince, an orange is a baron, a mandarin is a duke, and cherries are counts. But there are exceptions. For example, the commander-in-chief of the army is a mouse, and one of Cipollino's friends is a mole. Not the least role was played by two spiders, Khromonog and Seven-with-Half (who was so called because half of his foot was lost when an unequal collision with a huge brush).

Staging the plot

The story begins with the visit of Prince Limon to the village in which the boy Cipollino lives. During the solemn procession on the ridiculous charge, his father Chipollone is arrested. The boy decides by all means to release his father and goes to his prison.

With a hard heart leaves Chipollino. His determination to restore justice only grows stronger. Soon after the conversation with his father, Cipollino got to know the not-so-young Pumpkin, who tells him how he worked hard all his life to fulfill his dream - to build a tiny house. There were not enough bricks, but the Pumpkin could not work, so his home was more like a booth. But it still pleased the old man.

Only Qum Pumpkin managed to tell the grateful listener the story of his difficult life, as the displeased signor Tomodor appeared. Right before the eyes of the boy, the cruel manager mercilessly took away from the old man his meager property.

It is at this point that the young hero enters into an open confrontation with the ruling class. He plainly states that Signor Tomato is just a fraud. He did not achieve much at that time, but this event was a landmark for the whole story.

Developments

After some time, Cipollino again meets the representatives of the bourgeoisie in the forehead. On a charge of rebellion, soldiers are literally arrested by all the inhabitants of his village. But our guy cleverly leaves the chase and - remember how they called. Cipollino's girlfriend Radiska, too, could not be arrested, and now the children are making adventures for themselves.

They get acquainted with the young Vishenka, who, although he lives in the count's estate, also suffers from the attacks of eternally dissatisfied aunts. The children quickly became friends, and the girlfriend of Cipollino even for the first time actually made laugh a modest and discreet young count.

Thanks to courage and ingenuity, Cipollino manages to fool the soldiers and the pompous Signor Tomidor for a while. But, in the end, they grab him and throw him in jail.

However, even in the dungeon, Cipollino acquires more and more new friends. They manage to escape. And soon this is no longer a small company, it organizes a very real revolution, as a result of which everyone gets what they deserve.

Modern interpretation

It is interesting that in modern society it is this development of events that inspires some for fear of the fragile child's psyche. For example, in the theatrical production of a fairy tale that goes on in Moscow, the revolution from the ending is removed.

In an interview, director Ekaterina Koroleva explained that it is not necessary to inspire children with such thoughts. Retaining sharply posed social questions in the play, they removed any hints of violence. Heroes of the fairy tale "Cipollino" simply unite and come to the reception to Prince Limon.

After listening to the petition of their loyal subjects, the prince personally abolishes all his unfair decrees and continues to calmly rule the country. Therefore, socially, all remain in their places.
