First, a trench is dug out, in professional jargon called "trough". Digging should be at a depth of at least 0.25 m, but take into account that the upper edge of the paving slab should not hang after the pile above the path itself. After that, clean, high-quality gravel is poured onto the bottom of the ditch. To do this, you need to use a brush with a soft pile, since it will not allow leaving any traces or scratches on the material.
