On the outer plate of the bones of the skull, the osteome looks like a dense, immovable, painless new growth with a smooth surface. With this arrangement, it can provoke headaches, seizures of epilepsy, memory disorders, increase intracranial pressure.

Hormonal disorders of the osteoma can provoke if located in the area of the Turkish saddle.

Localization in the nose, can cause various eye diseases: deterioration of visual acuity, exophthalmos, anisocoria, ptosis, diplopia. And if it reaches a large size and is located side by side with the nerve root, penetrates into the arch or into the process of the vertebra, symptoms of the compressed spinal cord and deformation of the vertebral column may appear.
