The painting "Wedding with a dowry", the actors of which showed a kind of love story, is a screen version of the performance of the Satire Theater in Moscow. The play itself (its original name is "The Wedding", written by Komi Nikolai Dyakonov) appeared from the pen of the playwright as far back as 1948. It was his most famous creation.
