To begin with, you need to decide where you will hang them. No, it is clear that you need to install the blinds by your own hands on the window, and not on the front door, but they can be fixed both to the ceiling and directly to the window opening. Everything depends on the design and the size of the blinds. If your plastic blinds exactly match the size of the window, you will have to fasten them directly to the opening. If their size is larger, we will install the blinds with our own hands on the ceiling or on the wall. Well, if they are smaller than a window, then they will have to be carried back to the store, since there will be no meaning to hang them.

We are armed with a drill, a knife and a screwdriver (if there is no screwdriver, the usual screwdriver will do). You will also need the help of a pencil and a building level.

With the help of a knife, open carefully the box from the blinds and see what we have to deal with. The standard packaging should include a cornice, latches for it, lamellas (these are such plates, of which, in fact, the blinds consist, depending on your choice, they can be wooden, plastic, and woven), chains, brackets, latches , Control cord, dowels, screws and installation and installation instructions.

If something is missing, you do not need to immediately blame the bad employees of the store. It is possible that this is not required to install your blinds.

Next we take a pencil and a level in hand, and we plan the fixing places for the cornice. Try to do this as carefully as possible, otherwise the form of the obliquely attached blinds will not add aesthetics to your interior, and the mechanism of turning the lamellas will always seize.

In the selected locations, holes are drilled, and the cantilever latches are fastened to the brackets. Brackets you will need if you decide to fix the blinds to the wall, and not to the ceiling. The eaves are inserted into the latches, and the most creative part of the work begins - the installation of lamellas. They need to be carefully removed from the box one at a time and fastened to runners. It is this sequence of actions that is due to the fact that if you confuse the order of the slats, then you will have to spend quite a lot of time collecting the originally conceived by the manufacturer of the drawing.
