Warning "The required operation requires improvement": what is it and how to deal with it?

Undoubtedly, many users of modern computer systems, especially those who use Windows 7 and higher, very often face a problem when the system issues a message stating that the required operation needs to be increased. That's where the question arises: what's more? Not every user will understand that this refers to the access rights to the program, the installer or the launch of the most installed application.

"The required operation requires an increase": why does it arise?

If anyone does not know, such a problem did not appear in aging systems, but in a relatively new "seven".

A message stating that this operation needs to be increased appeared in that Windows 7 for a reason. The matter is that in operating systems, since this version, there is an unofficial differentiation of the rights of the "Administrator" and the "Super Administrator".

Code 740: "The operation requires an increase"

The biggest problem is that the granting of rights in most situations is required in relation not only to the installation of applications, but also their personalized launch.

Simply put, any application-installer or executable file of type EXE does not start only because of the lack of rights to manage the computer. What to do? Yes, just use the settings for granting certain privileges to any user through the Group Policy Editor or the system registry. Naturally, many people do not have the rights to this. As for those who have them (and maybe not), let's see how all this is circumvented.

How to get rid of the problem in the simplest way?

As mentioned above, this problem is only related to access rights indexed in Windows 7 and higher.

We will proceed from this. The simplest and probably classic way to fix the problem of an error message saying that the required operation needs to be increased is the use of the command and the launch menu of any application called by the right mouse button. In the context menu there is a line for starting the program as administrator. Note that this applies not only to the products that are run, but also to the installed ones.

If you set the start of the program or installer with a right click with the choice of administrative start, the system will still "spit", offering a choice: to trust this application or not (authentication of certificates). Sometimes you have to disable even checking digital signatures, but more on this later.

Using the command line

If you use the Start menu or the command line, unfortunately, you may also receive the error "The requested operation requires an increase". CMD in this case acts as a parameter to change access to the main commands, called from the corresponding "Run" menu or the introduction of the same command.

Although it is generally accepted that modern Windows systems do not support DOS, do not you think that the use of the commands of the desired menu is reduced to them?

Judge for yourself: disk checking if the partition is damaged is done by the command chkdisk. This is known to any more or less advanced user. Until now, when formatting a disk or partition, there is a command to create a bootable MS-DOS diskette . Who needs it?

Nobody seems to be. But the rule of increasing access rights in such systems is not what is not applied, it simply does not work.

Control of "accounts" of wireless networks

Now let's look at the access rights, which differ significantly from all of the above. In this case, we will proceed from the availability of a connection to a private virtual network (VPN) based on a Wi-Fi connection.

Here, as usual, it is enough to enter a username and password to get the ability to connect through a one-way encrypted communication channel. If there is a so-called "shared network" and a password-free connection (Shared), any mobile device or laptop can access the Network through the rights of the source. But the trouble is - sometimes there is the same error that determines that the requested operation requires an increase in ROUTE. What if it is the parameters of the router (or any other router)?

We enter the router with the standard login and password indicated on the back of the device, through any browser by entering the address 192.168.0.1 (for some models - at the end of 1.1) and changing the corresponding data. We reboot the router and the computer, and there are no problems.

How to get rid of the "Admin" entry?

Than good Windows systems, starting with the "seven", so this is because they have access to the Group Policy Editor (the gpedit.msc command).

Here you can disable the "account" administrator of the local computer, instead of which by default the account of the so-called "super administrator" will be activated. In this case, even the command to run the program on behalf of the administrator will disappear.

On the other hand, you can reduce the level of security. This is done through the control of user accounts (of course, with the initial login with administrator rights). There is a vertical slider on the left, indicating different levels of customization. It is enough to move it to the lowest position, that's all. Checking the "accounts" and granting specific rights will be disabled.

Finally

In principle, when a message arises that an operation that requires an increase in the level of access rights, you can also duplicate it in the system registry (if anyone does not know, you can also change the settings and preferences of the local Group Policy from there). But, I think, this is not the best way.

On the other hand, if you even receive a message that the requested operation seems to require an increase, each user can simply run executable program files (including installation files) on behalf of the administrator. If this interferes, there's nothing easier than disabling the admin's entry altogether.

But here it is worth keeping in mind that if you initially set the password for logging into the Microsoft account, even to exit the sleep mode, the system will simply delete it and "spit" when you try to log in. Here you either have to restore the password by ID, sent to the mail or phone (in the case of Windows 10), or to perform a so-called purge. You decide.
