Vsevolozhskaya railway station

The first railway narrow-gauge railway appeared in Russia in the vicinity of the northern capital in the nineteenth century. Built by Baron P.L. Corf. The road was connected by the capital with the baron's estate in the village of Irinovka.

By the name of the village this road was called Irinovskaya. It represented a narrow-gauge railway. From this station, briquettes from peat were imported to the capital, intended for heating the city and surrounding areas.

In those days, when the Irinovo Narrow-gauge railway opened and began to be used, Vsevolozhskaya station was not built. This station appeared, three years after the opening of the road, on Vsevolozhsky Avenue. But a year has passed, and the building of the station made of wood burned down.

We rebuilt a new two-story railway station on the other side of the railway track. Demolished two-story building in 2007. From historical sources it is known that a train from Petersburg to Vsevolozhskaya station went forty minutes. For the summer residents, trains were run at intervals of twenty minutes.

At the beginning of the twentieth century, the Irinovo narrow-gauge railway was slightly expanded. The Vsevolozhskaya platform was moved five hundred meters to the south, due to which this railway section became more direct.
