The next stage is the application of a "cracked" layer. Cracked nail polish is applied in a thin layer: it is necessary to make sure that the lower layer is at least slightly visible. Dry it. The drying process is accompanied by the appearance of cracks through which the main layer is visible.

How to combine colors?
It's easy to do with the use of all known color wheel. Drawings created with the help of a combination of different colors can be the most unusual. For example, using a combination of diametrically opposite colors, the brightness of the base layer can be strengthened, which will enhance the cracking effect; For a more sophisticated image, you need to select the tone of one color wave, so that they do not emphasize, but only complement each other.

As usual, white and black lacquers are a classic, suitable for any occasion. It is only necessary to choose a cracking nail polish, combined in color with the wardrobe. Also for the base, varnishes with sparkles and pearlescent varnishes are excellent.

With this varnish, you can even give the picture the effect of antique porcelain, for which you only need to combine the color of melted milk and white cracking varnish. No less interesting drawings are obtained by using a varnish with sparkles or a silver lacquer base.

A few tricks
As in any other case, the application of craquelure has its own subtleties:
- it is mandatory to use an upper fixing or transparent coating,
- Cracked nail polish allows you to create a different in depth cracks: a lot depends on the thickness of the applied layer (dry brush - the guarantor of a thin layer),
- the use of earthy shades is not recommended, since the earthy color has not yet adorned anyone.
