Travel Anapa-Yalta: we go to the sea

Travelers consider Anapa the most convenient starting point for a trip to Crimea. Railways from all over the country flock here. From here the bus transport and sea vessels depart. If you connect the Anapa-Yalta points on the map, the distance will be 401 km, taking into account the extent of the Kerch Strait. This way is overcome in 6.5-7 hours.

Why go to the Crimea

"Pearl" of the Southern coast is called the oldest health resort - the city of Yalta, founded in the 1st century AD. E. Natural beauties, interesting history, pebble coast and a lot of beaches, sanatoria and resorts, guest houses are waiting for holidaymakers in the new season.

Anapa, Yalta - cities, the banks of which are washed by the waters of the same sea. And you can get from one point to another in various ways:

  • by plane;
  • On a ship, that is, a ferry or catamaran;
  • by bus;
  • by car.

Let's take a look at the future: the road along the bottom of the strait

According to the global plans for the restoration of the region, in the end of 2018 it is planned to build and open a tunnel that will sink along the bottom of the Kerch Strait. Such a transition will be made of two independent tunnels connected by emergency gateways. For each a two-lane highway with a length of 14.7 km will be laid. That's when the distance between the cities of Anapa-Yalta bus will overcome for 3-4 hours without transferring passengers to ferries or catamarans. Until then, we have to use combined modes of transport.

More than 10 regular flights are carried out daily and at night from the bus stations of the city in the direction of the Crimea. After arriving at one of the train stations in Anapa, tourists on a bus ride to the port of Kavkaz. From here on the ferry cross the strait and then again by bus to the selected city on the peninsula. For such a trip you can buy as a single ticket, paying for all types of transport at once, and a regular travel card.

From the airport to the ferry tourists get a taxi or a suitable flight, then - ferry to Kerch. Further by choice: public transport or taxi.

Is not it easier to swim only on the water?

Two high-speed catamarans last year performed daily flights of Anapa-Yalta through Feodosia. On one ship 300 passengers can comfortably settle. Everyone is allowed to carry up to 36 kg of cargo. For children up to 1 year old, travel is free. In the new season, it became possible to order tickets for this transport via the Internet. However, catamarans now make flights only to Feodosia. Modern high-speed vessels are equipped with air conditioning, TVs, convenient places. You can walk on the deck while sailing. Then the Anapa-Yalta route by sea has been canceled because of insufficient payback of expenses. To the final destination from Feodosia, holidaymakers travel by car for 2.5-3 hours. With the increase in passenger traffic in this direction, the route can be started again.
