Torn tooth. Required restrictions

The question of what can and should not be done after tooth extraction occurs in those patients who did not listen to the dentist. Torn tooth - this is far from a trivial operation, where, in addition to the professionalism and accuracy of the surgeon, It is necessary to observe certain restrictions, since a wound in the gum is not a commonplace scratch, which can easily disappear in a couple of days. The torn tooth leaves a hole that will heal for at least a week. Many patients after this operation complain of unpleasant sensations in the oral cavity. For example: "They tore out a tooth, it is swollen and it hurts the place where it was." Most often, such complaints appear in people who did not follow the recommendations of the dentist.

Immediately after the operation, it's better to sit quietly in the corridor of the clinic with a swab on the wound for half an hour, as the torn tooth is first of all a rather serious injury. Then (and this recommendation must be carried out rigorously) for three hours you can not eat. You can not drink alcohol and smoke for three days. In no event should one engage in heavy physical labor, take a very hot shower, sunbathe, bathe in a bath or train intensively. The torn tooth usually leaves a deep wound, and it can begin to bleed during the above actions. If the doctor has appointed a reception Antibiotics or painkillers - take them in the recommended amount. This is a standard set of limitations that is recommended for any patient after surgery.

But not always the removal of the tooth is stable. In other cases, there are complications. If the wound bleeds for a long time and hurts, urgent measures must be taken. You can moisten the tampon with a 3% hydrogen peroxide solution and apply to the injured gum area. If this measure has not had a positive effect, you should consult your doctor. After the end of the anesthesia, as a rule, pain occurs. At this point, you can take a pill of the drug "Nurofen", "Ketanov" or "Ibufen". You can put ice on a sore spot, but do not hold it longer than 15 minutes. A few days after the operation it is better to follow a diet: do not eat spicy, salty, hard foods and smoking. The oral cavity is rinsed three times a day with a decoction of chamomile, calendula or St. John's wort.

In other cases, for example, when you are out of town, you may need to remove the tooth immediately, and it's not easy to get to the nearest dental clinic. In these cases, people try to cope with the problem on their own. But attempts to tear out the tooth at home can be accompanied by a number of extremely unpleasant subsequent complications: severe pain, bleeding of the wound without the possibility of stopping blood, disorientation and even loss of consciousness. Moreover, without special skills and the necessary tool it is possible to remove the tooth inaccurately, damaging the jaw or enamel of neighboring teeth, the gums may remain splinters, the wound without proper treatment is the way for the infection to penetrate. These consequences still have to be corrected or treated in the dental clinic.
