But very few people know that Nikiforov's film was not the first attempt to transfer to the screen the famous story of the story "Dubrovsky".

So did the hero of the literary source. But, given that in modern interpretation Dubrovsky is a successful lawyer, such actions may seem implausible.

The main character penetrates into the house of Troekurov. But not under the guise of a French-tutor, but as a lawyer. Between Vladimir and Masha, a warm relationship is formed, turning into a love affair. Dubrovsky's assistants meanwhile arrange riots in the vicinity of Troyekurov's possessions. In the end, he explained with Masha, admits that he is not at all Deforge and disappears. According to reviews of the audience, this film adaptation of Pushkin's immortal work is not successful. But the script is well spelled out dialogues, and despite the tragic plot, there is light humor.

"Eagle"

In 1925, American filmmakers created a film based on the work "Dubrovsky." Actors of black and white cinema today are forgotten. With the exception of Rudolfo Valentino, the performer of the main role.

This screen version is free. In the plot there are unknown Cossacks, and even Catherine the Great.
