The photographer sings the beauty of red-haired people from all over the world: stunning images

Owners of red hair in the world are less than 2%, and since they stand out against the general background, they are tirelessly treated, ridiculed in pop culture, recalling the ill-fame that entrenched them in the Middle Ages.

Photographer Brian Dowling has departed from stereotypes and hopes to change the general negative attitude to the fire curls.

He went on a trip around the world to photograph people with red hair and sing their beauty through a series of eccentric portrait shots.

Red-haired beauty

Brian Dowling always appreciated the red locks for their special rare beauty. Although, perhaps, the overwhelming admiration of the photographer is due to his Irish descent.

Anyway, Dowling went on a long trip to 20 countries to create a unique photo project, and upon his graduation he merged the received photo portraits into a book called "Red-haired beauty".

130 projects from different countries took part in the Dowling project. The photographer found all of them with the help of social networks.

"Before I got to work, I posted a tweet," recalls Brian, "I wanted to know if anyone would like to take part in a photo shoot in Dublin.

At the invitation responded a girl named Aoife. Her response was a stimulus to get started. "

Marines

The project had a fairly successful start, but in Dublin, Brian encountered unexpected difficulties in finding models.

People with natural red locks, the photographer found out, killed their natural beauty, repainting their hair in black or chocolate color because of the aggressive behavior of others.

In Russia and in Ukraine it was easier. Redheads in these countries are not so aggressive.

In the process of working on the project, the photographer noted: the pursuit of redheads is so common in the world that they try to keep each other.

"They have some sense of camaraderie, and I jokingly compare them to marines," the photographer admits. "The marines respect each other, because they all went through rigorous training at the time, and also redheads, but they are brought together in school Years of suffering ".

A photo project that gives happiness

Brian Dowling hopes to defeat the unjustified aggression directed at the red ones, with the help of a photo.

In any case, he has already helped many models recognize and accept their natural beauty.

"I still find it hard to believe that just a few shots can give a joyful day to those who were intimidated," - Bryan marvels.

Later the photographer plans to deliver his message to Brazil, Israel, Lebanon and Turkey.

After all red-haired, I'm sure Brian Dowling, deserve the same respect as the rest of the people.
