The whole tragedy that led to the complete destruction of the heavenly body began because of the civil war between the rebel army under the command of General Zod (Michael Shannon) and the authorities. Father Superman (Russell Crowe) with his mother, foreseeing the lamentable outcome of the battle in an attempt to save the child, send him in a capsule to Earth. After landing, the baby is found by future adoptive parents (mother - Diane Lane, father - Kevin Costner), who, the first to discover his supernormal abilities, teach the boy to hide them from the surrounding, mere mortals. However, the nature of the boy takes his own, especially malicious general, as if the Phoenix was reborn from the ashes, sent to Earth, with the firm intention of doing the same with the blue planet as did Krypton. As it becomes clear, the picture "Man of Steel", actors and roles, the origins of history and its continuation are not entirely new, are already familiar to the viewer.

New Sacred Details

In addition to some new moments in the traditional history of superman, the creators introduce some sacred meanings into the project. The symbolic series of the painting "The Man of Steel" (the date of publication does not count) begins with the familiar letter S, which not only adorns on the character's costume, it means "Hope". And Clark's age is 33 years, than not a direct reference to the main history of mankind. And these are not the most entertaining and not the only details. Literally maniacal enthusiasm by the creators of the movie flashbacks can at first confuse the unsophisticated viewer, but as a result they are so cleverly folded into a clear and understandable picture, which is simply marvelous. At once it becomes clear the dual nature of the nature of the main character, her soreness for Clark. Yes, and "oil in the fire," she adds to the theory of the superhero as a demigod, or rather, as a God-man. As a spectator, the veil falls from the eyes and the fundamental difference between Superman and other superheroes becomes very clear. He is not an ordinary citizen dressed in a suit to fight evil, he is an alien creature, even if educated by people, but endowed with supernormal abilities.

Between the lines

The actors of the movie "Man of Steel" are all without exception the stars of the world cinema: Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Michael Shannon, Russell Crowe, Diane Lane, Kevin Costner and Antje Thrau, so their game is worthy of high praise. Although it is fair to say that at times, nothing particularly expressing the face of G. Cavill, sometimes forced the creators of the film project to pronounce (including the lips of the main character) his inner experiences, mental torment. And sometimes give all the emotionally intense scenes at the mercy of other performers. Here for the intriguing love line answered the performer of the astute journalist Lois Lane the cutie Amy Adams. And the villain-general Zod , performed by Michael Shannon from his light hand, appeared before the viewer as a real terrorist, but with a subtle spiritual organization. And some of the "lame" plot details from life on Earth are simply lost to Cala-El for the discouraging demonstration of his super abilities: levitation, super-strong, etc. Suppose, unlike the sensational trilogy about "Batman", the film does not open up new horizons and is considered separate critics by simple "popcorn entertainment", it is made so thoroughly and soundly that it is hard to imagine a better restart of the story about Superman. Thanks to the fact that the film "Man of Steel", actors and roles including, gathered and developed creatively all the accepted and unthinkable clichés of cinema about this superhero, the brand got a second wind.
