We are all accustomed to the fact that slender white-barreled birches are considered to be the symbol of our homeland.   • Life expectancy is up to 900 years.

The most widespread tree of Russia is represented all over the globe by only twenty varieties. In our country most often it grows on the territory of Siberia (in the western and middle parts of it). The symbol of Russia can be considered a strong oak, it belongs to the beech family and is represented by 600 different varieties. A powerful tree is a real long-livers in the world of flora, some of its representatives survived to 1500 years. Distinctive features of oak are its fruits - acorns, and beautiful carved leaves of the original form.

The distribution of the tree is also quite extensive. Oaks are found both in the north and in the south of the country, in the area of the northern capital and the Black Sea, in the Urals and in the European part of Russia. Unfortunately, it is quite difficult to name the widespread oak today, but in ancient times, in Ancient Russia, this giant could well be one of the most popular.

Of course, the most common tree species in Russia is larch, but do not forget that in our country there are many other beautiful and famous representatives of the world of flora, which we can admire by visiting our native forests.
