The integrated helicopter company "Helicopters of Russia"

"Helicopters of Russia" is an integrated helicopter manufacturing company that produces helicopters for both the army and civil aviation. This holding unites leading designers, serial plants and related enterprises.

"Russian Helicopters" (see photo below) is a full-cycle company, which includes absolutely all technological sections: development, production, sale, service, repair.

Demand for the products and services of this integrated group is quite large. Helicopter technology is acquired, first of all, by Russian agencies (FSB, Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Emergency Situations), airlines, other large companies.

For example, in 2010, a contract was signed for the delivery of Utair40 (airline) MI-8/47 helicopters. This is the largest contract among those that were concluded between the commercial operator of Russia and the manufacturer. In addition, the Ministry of Defense plans to purchase about 1,000 helicopters over the next seven years, including the MI-28N Night Hunter and Alligator KA-52 (combat, new Russian helicopters).

Today the association considers not only the production and trade of helicopter equipment, but also the whole cycle - "development-production-sale-repair-utilization".

Actually, the company "Russian Helicopters" has already launched a program of after-sales service, which should increase the market share of Russian helicopters to 30% by 2020. The delivery of all components and the distribution of applications for repairs and maintenance was entrusted to the Helicopter Service Company (a subsidiary of Russian Helicopters).

It should be noted that this company is on the list of major helicopter manufacturers. The products are in demand in most countries of the world. The highest demand for Russian-made helicopters in the CIS, the Middle East, Latin America, Africa, and the Pacific.

The main task of the association today is the modernization of the most popular types of equipment, including light type Ansat and MI-34S1 helicopters. The certificate issued by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), which proved to be an excellent multi-purpose helicopter КА-32А11ВС, not only increased its sales and opened outlets to a new market, but also raised the rating of the association as a whole.

At the moment, Russian Helicopters are on the way to implementing promising projects. A whole model range has been developed, including such popular models as MI-34S1, KA-226T, MI-171M, MI-38, KA-62, Ansat and others.

The Development Bank has opened a financing for the project related to the development and organization of the serial production of the multifunctional light helicopter КА-226Т and a helicopter with increased carrying capacity MI-38. In addition, work has begun on a new high-speed helicopter. A helicopter MI-8/17 expects a deep upgrade (working name of the model - MI-171A2).

But special interest is represented by new helicopters of Russia ("helicopters of the future"), with the appearance and "filling" of which the developers should decide by 2025. The basis of airborne equipment will include the so-called artificial intelligence (neural networks). The task of designers is to create a machine taking into account the most innovative developments. The basis for the concept of future samples should also include such indicators as flight safety, environmental friendliness.
